I went to Austin in February 2023 and I loved the city. This is why I decided to visit my new friends over there for another time this November. I got some cheap and direct flights from Frankfurt to Austin (550€). I drove to the airport and had breakfast at the lounge. The flight was really smooth and I arrived in the early afternoon.

Since the food on this Lufthansa flight was not that good, we directly went for some barbecue at Salt Lick BBQ! It was a great start for this vacation.

I stayed at a friend’s house in Kyle, Texas. Kyle is located between Austin and San Antonio. Here are some photos of the house and my room:

I was tired, so I went to bed early. The next day at noon, we went for lunch to a place called Texas Chili Parlor. It is an old bar with food in downtown Austin. We had some Tex-Mex and while eating, a famous person walked in. Charley Crockett arrived for shooting some photos for his new album. He is a Blues and Country singer, however, I did not know him before. Everyone was kind of starstruck though.

At night we had some drinks, food and went to an election party. Most people did not like that Trump won.
