Travel Journal: Otter Centre Hankensbüttel (GER) & Hanover
I do not think that many of you have been to the Otter Centre in Hankensbüttel (Germany). I used to visit this place with my grandparents back in the day because they lived in Hankensbüttel. It is a nature experience laid out in 6 hectares of open land by a lake known as the Isenhagener See. The Otter Conservation Project and Hankensbüttel Otter Centre have won many prestigious national and international awards and prizes for their conservation work. If you want to learn more about the Otter Centre you can read about it here:

We had beautiful weather and we could see all the animals: otters, badgers, beech martens, pine martens, polecats and an otterhound. Here are some impressions:
I really thought that the Otter Centre would not be able to live up to my childhood memories, however, it actually did! It is a great nature experience for every age! This is probably why around 100,000 visitors come to the Otter Centre annually.

The day before this trip, we went to a party in Hanover. It was a party with rap music and only people over 30 years of age were allowed to enter. The party was open air and the location was stunning. It is called Azzurro, the Beach and is located just outside of Hanover. We stayed at the NH Hotel in Hanover and our room was great:

We grabbed some lunch before we went to the party in the afternoon. The place was called Café Bohoo and was next to our hotel. It was delicious and much better then the breakfast at the hotel the next morning.

I hope that you learned something about a not that famous region in Germany. On our way back home, we also stopped in Celle for dinner. The restaurant was called Rice Time and I have been there several times. It is always a great place to stop for food:
