That was quite a meetup last Friday! I'm so glad we took this chance to get together among Hivians and have a nice afternoon. We were few, but we were there.
I think that if we had been even more, I would be regretting the short time we spent together, because despite the good time the 4 of us spent together, I feel that I missed a lot of things to talk, ask and comment with each of them. However, we had very present @belug, @toofasteddie and @critic-on who, despite not being able to attend, told me their enthusiasm for trying to join this initiative. I hope that next time it will be easier for everyone.
As a personal experience, I'm glad I finally dared to make a call like this and that the receptivity was noticeable, it's nice to meet live with people who understand what we invest so many hours in. I know that time and organization is a must for a successful meetup, but here I learned that despite taking foresight, there is always something that can change the plan unexpectedly.
The plan I made in the [invitation post](https://peakd.com/hive-148309/@ninaeatshere/invitacion-barcelona-hive-meetup-or-22-11-2024-espeng#comments) couldn't be fulfilled to the letter, but it had a similar dynamic and we could use it as a reference to meet each other.
When I left from Zaragoza by train, there was no inconvenience in following the plan to the letter, but just before arriving in Barcelona I got a message from the accommodation where I would spend the night, telling me that they couldn't have the place ready before 2 pm, so that delayed at least an hour and a half my plan to go to eat, at least it wasn't necessary to book at the place and I didn't end up upsetting the restaurant's staff.
Another thing I hadn't foreseen either was the date confusion I created for @josmariyuyi when I told her about my plans privately, making her think we were meeting on Saturday instead of Friday. Luckily she was free that afternoon and we were able to meet anyway. Hahaha thank goodness!

Como experiencia personal, me alegra haberme atrevido al fin a hacer un llamado así y que se notara la receptividad, es bonito encontrarse en directo con gente que entiende de esto a lo que invertimos tantas horas. Sé que el tiempo y organización es algo imprescindible para que un meetup sea exitoso, pero aquí aprendí que a pesar de tomar previsiones, siempre hay algo que puede cambiar el plan inesperadamente.
La propuesta que hice en el [post de invitación](https://peakd.com/hive-148309/@ninaeatshere/invitacion-barcelona-hive-meetup-or-22-11-2024-espeng#comments) no pudo cumplirse al pie de la letra, pero sí tuvo una dinámica parecida y pudimos utilizarlo como referencia para encontrarnos.
Cuando salí desde Zaragoza en tren, no había ningún inconveniente en seguir el plan al pie de la letra, pero justo antes de llegar a Barcelona me escribieron desde el alojamiento en donde pasaría la noche, diciéndome que no podrían tener el lugar preparado antes de las 2 de la tarde, por lo que eso retrasaba al menos una hora y media mi plan para ir a comer, al menos no era necesario reservar en el lugar y no terminé haciéndoles un feo a los del restaurante.
Otra cosa que no había previsto tampoco fue la confusión de fechas que le creé a @josmariyuyi cuando le comentaba mis planes por privado, haciendo que esta pensara que nos reuniríamos el sábado en vez del viernes. Por suerte estaba libre esa tarde y nos pudimos encontrar igualmente. Jajaja ¡menos mal!
 
So when I arrived in Barcelona, I had to improvise a bit on my own. I was very excited to meet up with the others, so I found it tedious to have to make time to sort out my accommodation. I hadn't slept much the night before, but even if it showed on my face I wasn't planning to waste any time, so I signed up for the second activity proposed in the invitation post. I went for a walk around the waterfall square and it seemed like a good idea to leave a trace of our blockchain around. At the end of it all, this @BuzzParty community provided us in Hamburg with some Hive stickers and this awesome t-shirt I was wearing that day to give more visibility to the ecosystem. I climbed the pile of stairs up to the *National Art Museum of Catalonia* to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and find a suitable place to put down the Hive sticker. When I drop these stickers around I don't usually do it in such an irresponsible way, I don't like to intervene in cultural spaces in any way. So this one was a bit hidden on a lamp post but with a beautiful background hahaha. After getting my accommodation, enjoying the walk, and accumulating almost 10k steps, it was time to eat something.

Estaba muy emocionada por encontrarme con los demás, por lo que me resultó un poco tedioso tener que hacer tiempo para resolver lo de mi alojamiento. No había dormido mucho la noche anterior, pero aunque se refleje en mi cara no pensaba perder tiempo, así que me apunté a la segunda actividad propuesta en el post de invitación. Fui a dar una vuelta por la plaza de las cascadas y me pareció buena idea dejar un rastro de nuestra blockchain por ahí. Al final de todo, esta comunidad de #BuzzParty fue la que nos proporcionó en Hamburg algunas etiquetas de Hive, y esta grandiosa camiseta que cargaba puesta ese día, para que le diéramos más visibilidad al ecosistema.
Subí el montón de escaleras hasta el *Museo nacional de arte dé Cataluña* para disfrutar de la vista panorámica de la ciudad y encontrar un lugar adecuado para dejar la pegatina de Hive. Yo cuando dejo estos stickers por ahí no suelo hacerlo de forma tan irresponsable, no me gusta intervenir espacios culturales de cualquier manera. Así que esta quedo un poco escondida en un poste pero con un fondo precioso jajaja.
Después de recibir mi alojamiento, disfrutar del paseo y acumular casi 10k pasos, era hora de comer algo.

Three in the afternoon didn't seem like a good idea to go eat at the restaurant I had considered previously, so I headed to a coffee shop that was close to the area where I would be meeting the others.
In **Tartela** they serve *brunch* until 16:30h and they have a wide variety of pastries. I couldn't wait to read the menu to order, because in their display case there were some sandwiches that were calling out to me. I ordered a toasted pastrami brioche with an American coffee and sat down to eat while I waited for signs of the others.
At 3:30 @josmariyuyi arrived very giggly as always and joking about the confusion of dates haha her recounting of events is always very entertaining. Since I had finished my sandwich and was still hungry, I took advantage of her wanting to order something to join her by eating another pastrami brioche, this time not toasted, because it was absolutely delicious.
She was in the mood for dessert, so she ordered a tiramisu, which we shared of course, and a latte.
Good! I was no longer alone and the itinerary was starting to go according to plan.

> A las tres de la tarde no me parecía buena idea para ir a comer al restaurante que había considerado antes, así que me dirigí a una cafetería que estaba cerca de la zona en donde me encontraría con los demás.En **Tartela** sirven *brunch* hasta la 16:30h y tienen mucha variedad de bollería. No me aguante a leer la carta para pedir, pues en su vitrina había unos bocadillos que me llamaban a gritos. Pedí un brioche tostado de pastrami junto a un café americano y me senté a comer mientras esperaba señales de los demás.
A las 3:30 llegó @josmariyuyi muy risueña como siempre y bromeando sobre la confusión de las fechas jaja su recuento de sucesos siempre es muy entretenido. Como yo había terminado mi sándwich y aún tenía hambre, aproveché que ella quería pedir algo para acompañarla comiendo otro brioche de pastrami, esta vez sin tostar, porque estaba absolutamente delicioso.
Ella tenía ganas de postre, así que ordenó un tiramisú, que compartimos por supuesto, y un café con leche.
¡Bien! Ya no estaba sola y el itinerario comenzaba a encaminarse según lo planeado.
 
As we had planned to meet @enraizar at 16h we decided to go to the Venetian towers, but after asking how his journey was going, we realized that we had some more margin and went up to the 360 terrace of the *Arenas shopping center* to enjoy one of the best views of Barcelona, with the sun beginning to set and the imposing **Montjuic** in front of us. The wait for @enraizar was a lot of fun, @josmariyuyi couldn't believe that all our communication to meet up, was carried out by a chain of comments on the invitation post, there we shared travel status and photos of our location to meet. He came from Madrid exclusively for this meeting and it is something that must be recognized. I thank him enormously not only for his willingness and effort to go to Barcelona that day, but also for his enthusiasm and good vibes to share with each one of us. This gentleman was a mystery to me, but he had the good fortune that I put my photos in every post I make, so it was easy for him to recognize me. Once we exchanged first impressions and laughs, I suggested walking to the main meeting point in the afternoon, while we continued talking. I hope they feel like sharing in this community [BuzzParty Meet Hive!](https://peakd.com/c/hive-148309/created) their experience about that day, as they were taking pictures of the sunset while we were walking around the Sants neighborhood laughing at our funny ideas as users with a Hive eye for photos. > Como teníamos pensado encontrarnos con @enraizar a la 16h decidimos acercarnos a las torres venecianas, pero luego de preguntar cómo iba su trayecto, vimos que teníamos algo más de margen y subimos a la terraza 360 del *Centro comercial Arenas* para disfrutar de una de las mejores vistas de Barcelona, con el sol comenzando a ocultarse y el imponente **Montjuic** frente a nosotras.La espera de @enraizar fue muy divertida, @josmariyuyi no terminaba de creer que toda nuestra comunicación para quedar, se llevara a cabo por una cadena de comentarios en el post de invitación, por allí compartimos estatus de viaje y fotos de nuestra ubicación para encontrarnos.
Él venía desde Madrid exclusivamente para este encuentro y es algo que hay que reconocerle. Le agradezco enormemente no sólo la disposición y el esfuerzo para ir hasta Barcelona ese día, sino también su entusiasmo y buen rollo al compartir con cada uno de nosotros.
Este caballero era un misterio para mi, pero él tenía la suerte de que yo pongo mis fotos en todos los post que hago, así que le fue fácil reconocerme. Una vez intercambiadas las primeras impresiones y risas, les propuse ir caminando hacia el punto principal de encuentro en la tarde, mientras seguíamos hablando.

We soon arrived at our goal, **Glück**. The place was closed and it was starting to drizzle a little, it had been quite cloudy the day and with constant threat of rain, but until the afternoon was that began to be more frequent that intermittent drizzle, but that did not stop us and we continued wandering a little around.
We stumbled upon the entrance to the **Mercado de Sants** and went in for a stroll, appreciating how beautiful and fresh the products were inside that incredible historic structure. I really liked the ceiling, it was just wood with no ornamental details, but it made me perceive the space as a very cozy place. I don't know why I didn't take a picture of it, if I mentioned that I liked it a few times that day.
At 6pm I had a table reserved for 4 people at **Glück Artisan Brewery**, there we not only wanted to take advantage of the *Happy Hour** discounts they offer until 8pm, but we could also dine and be there with no time limit while consuming.
Well, at 6 o'clock they opened their doors and we were the first ones to enter the place and make the most of their Happy Hour. Although we were still waiting for one more Hivian, we ordered the first round and almost as soon as we finished it, he arrived.
The last incident with the schedule affected @logic, who luckily is more communicative and was letting me know when he was on his way, but the problem was that inside the brewery the signal was almost nonexistent. In between the times I went out to get a signal, I found out that he took as a reference another of the addresses I wrote down in the itinerary and not the last one, although he quickly found the location and arrived only half an hour later.
I'm glad he didn't give up despite that last minute confusion of directions, because I was looking forward to greeting someone I had met at #HiveFest and having him share another perspective with us that afternoon. Besides the quorum had to be mostly people living in Barcelona hahaha so half was the majority.

> Llegamos pronto a nuestro objetivo, **Glück**. El local estaba cerrado y comenzaba a lloviznar un poco, había estado bastante nublado el día y con amenaza d lluvia constantemente, pero hasta la tarde fue que comenzó a ser más frecuente esa llovizna intermitente, aunque eso no nos detuvo y continuamos deambulando un poco por los alrededores.Nos topamos con la entrada del **Mercado de Sants** y entramos a dar una vuelta, apreciando lo bonito y fresco del género dentro de esa increíble estructura histórica. A mí me gustó mucho el techo, era solo madera sin detalles ornamentales, pero me hacía percibir el espacio como un lugar muy acogedor. No sé porqué no le hice una foto, si mencioné que me gustaba unas cuantas veces ese día.
A las 6 de la tarde tenía reservada una mesa para 4 personas en la **Cerveceria Artesanl Glück**, allí no solo queríamos aprovechar los descuentos de la *Happy Hour** que ofrecen hasta las 8pm, sino que también podíamos cenar y estar allí sin límite de tiempo mientras consumiéramos.
Pues a las 6 en punto abrieron sus puertas y fuimos los primeros en entrar al local a sacarle provecho a su Happy Hour. A pesar de que aún esperábamos a un Hivian más, pedimos la primera ronda y casi al terminarla fue que llegó este.
El último incidente con el cronograma afectó en este caso a @logic, quien por suerte es más comunicativo y me iba avisando cuando iba de camino, pero el problema era que dentro de la cervecería la señal era casi inexistente. Entre las veces que salía para coger señal, me fui enterando que tomó como referencia otra de las direcciones que apunté en el itinerario y no la última, aunque rapidamente dio con la ubicación y llegó tan solo media hora después.
Me alegra que no haya desistido a pesar de esa confusión de direcciones a último momento, porque tenía muchas ganas de saludar a alguien con quien había coincidido en el #HiveFest y que nos compartiera otra perspectiva esa tarde. Además el quorum tenía que ser en su mayoría de gente que viviera en Barcelona jajaja así que así la mitad fue mayoría.
Picking **Glück** turned out to be a very good overall choice, even though in a short time the place was filled with a lot of people and it wasn't easy to listen to us, we had a good time and we were able to exchange opinions on a variety of topics in a relaxed way, although what kept us most entertained was talking about special effects with *Stars Wars* as an object of discussion hahaha. No comments.
I'm not going to dwell at length on reviewing the beers and the food, as all those impressions make for a full #BeerSaturday post and, as usual, I realize I've already gone on long enough writing this supposed “summary” of that day.
So I will highlight that the quality of the beer is significant, despite the reduced offer, that the food is *fast food* style and is very good to go with the drinks and that, although they do not have any type of non-alcoholic beer, they offer regular sodas and prepare natural lemonades for those who don't want to consume alcoh
