Hello, friends at HIVE. Nice to meet you. My name is Nio-roots. I'm excited to be part of this great community and to share my story with you. I was born in a small village called El Charal on the coast of Aragua State in Venezuela. My father is from the same place, and my mother was born in the Andes, in the state of Táchira, Venezuela, to be specific. From that somewhat exotic union, I came into the world. From a young age, I was surrounded by nature and animals, which I always thought was great. My father was a chef by profession and a self-taught musician, from whom I inherited a love for music and artistic expression. He taught me many things. Later, when I was in the city, on my 10th birthday, my mother, noticing how much I liked music, gave me a used guitar in perfect condition. From the moment she put it in my hands for the first time, I knew immediately that I was born to be a musician. At first, I was frustrated by how difficult it was to learn on my own, but as the months went by, I began to improve and realized that I could also sing. With that foundation, my mother enrolled me in the Aragua State Conservatory of Music, where I studied classical guitar, theory, and solfège for two years. I learned a lot from my teachers at that institution. At thirteen, like any rebellious teenager in the 2000s, my first musical influences were new metal, rap, and alternative rock, but it wasn't until I met When I discovered my favorite music and what I wanted to create, it had a profound impact on me: the harmonious sounds of reggae, the simplicity of the lyrics, the flexibility to create a song in which I could raise my voice on different topics.

Considering that I already had the sea in my blood, it was only a matter of time before I wrote my first song in that style. From that moment on, there was no turning back. At that time, I was skateboarding and took my guitar everywhere, entertaining at any event, without thinking about money. My friends told me I was crazy because, as I said, I never let go of my guitar. Little by little, I lost my stage fright and improved each time. Today, 20 years later, I can say that I have had a good life surrounded by music, family, and friends.

I love what I do and wouldn't trade it for anything. Even though I'm not famous, there's nothing I enjoy more than jamming with my friends. with my friends. Today, I have written more than 50 songs and collaborated on several projects, and I hope to create many more in the near future. So never lose faith in your dreams. There will always be ups and downs. Sometimes you won't find the motivation to do things, and that's normal. We just have to be disciplined and consistent. That's the secret to success.
