Because I was not doing anything on a Sunday, my sister invited me and our aunt to some mall hopping to accompany her on some errands. She also wanted to go to the Super Manila Comic Con 2025, which I will deal with in my next post.
I only managed to snap a picture of the name of the first mall we went to at on a tablecloth at the mall entrance from the basement parking lot.
We first hopped on a moving ramp.
This was one of the first views of the inside of the mall. It was my first time here. The mall is known as The Circuit, because it stands on the grounds where a horse-racing circuit used to be located.
Mercury Drug is the most popular drugstore in the country and is almost everywhere.
I would like to watch some shows in this theater one day.
Part of the mall is accessible only outdoors, where there is no airconditioning. Al fresco.
We went to The Circuit to see my sister's boyfriend, among some other errands. He is playing in a Tamiya racing tournament that will send winners to compete in Japan.
A view from the mall's second floor.
The activity area where the Tamiya race is held is also seen from this vantage point.
One my sister's boyfriend's cars.
A toy store.
Next, we went to another mall nearby known as One Ayala.
We eventually settled to eat at Krazy Garlik. It's my first time here, but my companions have enjoyed food here before.
Below is a weird chocolate rice krispies and pinipig drink. Champorado is a local snack, and this restaurant has somehow turned it into a beverage. Quite surreal.
A kangkong dish.
Below is meat with peanut sauce known as kare-kare. The restaurant called it Mariah Carey-Carey.
A local pork dish known as adobo.
The best dish in the bunch, strips of braised beef.
The lunch ensemble.
A view of the area from outside the resto.
Some more details.
Currently, I am having a hard time figuring out Google Maps whenever I'm inside a mall. The walking directions have so many weird and erroneous recommendations. And I can't even pinpoint my own location. Or more probably, I'm just bad at map reading.
Some people carrying the Super Manila Comic Con 2025 convention kits. I will talk about that event in my next post.
Happy to be out of the house, walking around (even if it is tiring), and #aliveandthriving!
