This is an octopus monster figure obtained from a local seller in June of 2024. Judging from current postings on Ebay and Amazon, this is still quite pricey compared to the dirt cheap price this collector got it for.
It only has two points of articulation, a simple swivel on each shoulder joint. The head and tentacles are not movable.
The figure is quite a beauty and its sculpt, design, and paint are pretty exquisite and heavily detailed. It is not a simple child’s plaything; it has considerable value and aesthetic appeal.
The trident was originally a keychain initially bought for a 3.75-inch Aquaman figure. However, it was too heavy for the lightweight Aquaman and the figure couldn’t pose properly with the accessory. So this Octopus Monster inherited the weapon, as it is quite solid, stable, and heavy.
The original toy had a different spear-like weapon.
Even the underside has been given adequate attention.
All in all, a fun little figure.
