It was a smooth 9-hour trip yesterday from Lagos to Enugu. This is one of my best travelling experiences so far in the past four years. Considering how bad our road is and the many issues usually associated with travelling by road, it felt different yesterday; no added hours due to the traffic or other road challenges, it was just smooth like anything I can think of.

First, I loved how kind our driver is, always checking on everyone in the vehicle to ensure we are comfortable. The car A.C. was quite active and refreshing, there was no traffic, and there were no police officers or road safety officers to delay us. We left Lagos at 7am, and by 4pm, I was already at my destination, relaxing and resting.
Three months ago, I travelled with terrible road experiences ; in January, I had the same terrible experience using the road too. In all of these trips, I spent 15 hours on the road and even slept in a hotel to reach my destination the next day. This is why I feel so happy about my yesterday's travel. If wishes were to be horses, I should have travelled by air and escaped all this stress, but it is what it is.

So recently, my son was referred to a new consultant neurologist in Enugu, where we currently obtain treatment. This was why I made this trip yesterday. Good enough, it's been going fine since today in the hospital. We have a series of scans and tests to do this week prior to seeing the pediatric neurologist by Friday.
The last time we came in August, I loved how the hospital treats their patients with kindness, starting from the security personnel to the office technologists, nurses, and doctors. I know what I have experienced where I reside, and getting the unique kind of experience here feels great.

I think I love how the hospital environment looks, the nature, the seat out , and the calmness within the environment; it's simply nice. Hospital isn't someone's place, but it's good to commend something nice when you see one.

Finally, I am staying with my son in my twin brother's house here in Enugu for this one-week hospital appointment. The welcoming and treatment by his wife has been great. I felt at home, and so did my son. Here it is calm with almost 24 hours of light, unlike Lagos. Anyways, I hope to enjoy my new environment while it lasts.
