Agriculture: The Real Backbone of Life and Economy

I love discussing agriculture because it is highly connected with food, which is the main thing that humans survive with. If you like creating robots, equipping people with digital skills, and making all the money in the whole world without available food in our world, you may be forced to eat that your money raw...lol. That's exaggerating, but I'm just trying to tell you why I have interest in agriculture. ![20251002_105638_0000.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nkemakonam89/23xKmyL9U9J9xpDDQ2YEkp5rGBbbxHkGY5VRfFaLGNrgZCbi12Lj8dXtRgSevx8rs4FkA.png) ***** Every human being needs food to survive, no matter your status. I am very surprised that in many countries, including mine, agriculture is not a top priority during national budgeting. Even if they add it, it's just for formal purposes, but no needed action is taken year to year, tenure to tenure, and that's why hardship has continued to thrive. People struggle to have enough food for their families. Imagine how costly foodstuff is; even the poor are dying out of hunger not only in my country. It is what it is. Like, how did we get here? ***** Anyways, back to the prompt proper, my view on agriculture is very simple. Agriculture is one of the ultimate things, and farmers should be highly recognized in our world because food is life. Remove agriculture, and you will see that those big companies wouldn't have raw materials to keep producing certain things that we all need today. I was involved in agriculture practically when I was still a teenager. I cultivate, I weed, I plant varieties of crops, I harvest, and we used to sell some of our proceeds back then. I wouldn't call it commercial farming, but I still love the interest of going into that. ![20251002_105707_0000.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nkemakonam89/23zktabXT7iSqAd5UDTzs4EvruhbFTSfuPKn1DQEUFrpJuWVZb4oQvBHRoJubzTXN34VE.png) ***** Engaging in agriculture manually can be tedious, I must confess, but you will enjoy fresh food without spending a lot of money. Mechanized agriculture is great, as it will ease all the stress associated with farming. Productivity will be high with limited hours, and food will be surplus, you know, if we have enough of it, especially in all states across a country, but there is a concern: if you leave all commercial farmers to purchase this equipment themselves, many of them will leave the business due to fund , but it is worth the government of each country funding it; it will reduce the harsh economy, I believe. ***** Having said that, foodstuffs are way too expensive due to the middle men behind these farmers. People living in the northern part of my country enjoy affordable raw food, but those of us here get it at a crazy price. However, if I should think of an app to design how I can order food directly from these farmers and have it available at my doorstep, it will be great. I will not only buy it cheaper but also fresher, maybe, but there is another concern. ![20251002_105731_0000.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nkemakonam89/23u5b6iArRKfSk8gteDUZwiSRcPaYhwqNmmDYb4TxQ36Rw4XMJz4ko8Ydw5r5s2BzTqUy.png) ***** Going by this app, some farmers are illiterate and wouldn't be able to navigate the app and make sales. Again, some business men and women dealing in foodstuffs might not sell again like before, and it will greatly affect their finances. It's just a concern, but I believe there will always be another way for them, hopefully, but if I succeed with the app, I will name it Farm Link Up, linking farmers and consumers. ***Images were taken from canva***
