As I scrolled through my gallery in search of my old pictures, especially those I took during my university days, I found this particular one, and immediately, I began to reminisce about those moments when I was practically struggling to achieve my laboratory projects.

Young me, a soft lady back then, fought so hard to navigate the practical aspects of my course of study, dental technology. It's all about the fabrication of dental appliances, braces, crowns, bridges, and even cleft palate prostheses. I felt totally overwhelmed with the whole practicals to the point that I started regretting why I opted in for the course in the first place...lol.

Looking at this picture, I think it was during my second year, and I remember meeting my HOD to complain to her and confiding in her about my challenges with the practicals. It was tough; little me met something I felt was bigger than me, hahaha, but the HOD encouraged me never to give up but rather look for like minds who will push me through all my confusions with the practicals.
I can vividly remember that this picture was when I defended my second-year practical project. It was a whole lot of process, and pressure that tested my ability and resilience, but I can't forget in a hurry when these ladies in the picture below came through for me...

...including Victor, the disabled guy who never left me alone with my struggles until I got it right.
Life in school then was filled with mixed emotions; this picture flashed back those memories, and I am just smiling here. At times, all we need is that person or people that will push us until we get things right, that person that will remind us that we are not alone, that one person or people that will encourage us in many ways never to give up but to keep pushing until we achieve our goals.
