You know, I read through the topic description of this week's prompt about diseases in our world today, and it asked which of the diseases I would love to create a cure for if I had the power. The truth is that the kind of sickness my son has suffered since six years ago takes me in and out of different hospitals every now and then, and in the process, my eyes have seen lots of terrible diseases humans are going through.

*****
It's energy draining and emotionally draining; most families are hopeless and helpless. In fact, a visit to some units in the hospital will leave you in tears. Even the ones with a cure leave patients in a terrifying condition and make their lives miserable and the lives of their loved ones. If you ask me for which of the many diseases I should create a cure, I will tell you all. Ibb and I definitely had the same viewpoint on this subject, and I guess it's coming from a heart of compassion.
*****
There are many diseases around the world, and permit me to say that it's quite difficult to focus on just one. Living with any kind of disease, both curable and incurable ones, is not easy. Too bad for us and our families. To some families, health issues returned them back to poverty; even the so-called curable diseases, and yet, they spent years in the hospital without any tangible improvement, and in the same way, their energy, resources, and time are burnt over there.

Personally, I feel that seizures are curable, but this particular illness has been a thorn in my family's flesh, draining our resources over many medical procedures for many years. Yet, when you feel it's getting better, it will spike like it just started. I have no peace; my movement is sometimes restricted; huge money is going out on medicals steadily, money that I am supposed to use to live healthy and even achieve many things. The same thing is applicable to many other families going through one health challenge and another. If wishes were to be horses, then I would wish that all kinds of sickness be wiped away in our world.
A gift of good health is the greatest gift to humankind; with it, people can really focus on what they want to achieve without sickness dragging them around and turning their lives upside down.
