Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're all well. Talking about electricity supply, it seems like a difficult topic. However, I'd like to share my experience as a journalist. Some homes in remote villages in West Bandung struggle to access electricity.
Even though the villages are close to the electricity supply, this is a significant concern; it turns out that nearby residents don't have electricity. Another thing I'd like to share is that to get electricity to their homes, people have to spend money on electricity poles and other things.
I admit, not all places are easily accessible. In West Bandung, many people still live in remote areas. Back when I was a journalist, I strongly criticized the government for not funding several facilities to provide electricity to residents.
The government's answer was simple: limited funding. Honestly, when I was reporting, I was a little frustrated with the situation. The government only reached accessible areas, while the people had to live in darkness at night.
Ironically, in two regencies in West Java that are close to the electricity source, electricity still struggles. This is a significant number. Compared to the total population, it's less than 5 percent. But that's quite a large number. Again, I often wonder why this is happening.
I've also read about other places experiencing the same thing. Therefore, I think this is government negligence. I find it very ironic. That's all I can say. What do you think? Are you experiencing the same thing where you live?
