Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're well. You know I've visited several places. I visited Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park). There are many museums there, and they turned out to be very interesting. One of them was the Indonesian Stamp Museum.

I visited this museum as a complement to my previous visits to museums related to Indonesian Post and stamps. Stamps are a platform for learning about Indonesian history and culture. They continue to develop, but production is very limited.

The birth of this stamp museum began with a visit by Mrs. Tien Suharto, who visited the PT Pos Indonesia stamp exhibition in 1981. From there, the idea to build a stamp museum at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park) arose. Two years later, the museum was inaugurated by President Suharto in 1983.

The architecture itself, adorned with Balinese and Javanese-style statues, sits on a 9,590-square-meter site. The museum is divided into several wings, which house the management office and meeting rooms. The other left wing houses an additional post office for PT Post Indonesia.

In the front yard, a globe with a merapi bird carrying a letter in its beak reflects PT Pos Indonesia's mission throughout Indonesia. At the entrance, visitors are greeted by a puppet show. This begins with a puppet show about the Duta Dharma puppet, followed by a statue of Hanoman, and two Balinese puppeteers, Drs. Wayansuta, who depict the history of the letters.

This space houses a collection of various stamps. It also showcases stamp making and printing cylinders. The stamp collection spans the Dutch, Japanese, and Indonesian independence eras. If you're looking for a souvenir, you can also find souvenir stamp sets from 1950 to 1993.

There's also a stamp exhibition here, displaying stamps by period and theme. The stamps here are quite interesting, ranging from themes to scouting and sports. It's also fascinating to learn about the history of stamps in Indonesia. There are also dioramas explaining the history of stamps in Indonesia, highlighting the peak years of their production.
