Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're all well. As you know, I recently visited Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park). One of the pavilions I visited was the North Sulawesi Pavilion. North Sulawesi is one of the most linguistically diverse provinces in Indonesia. It's said that 10 regional languages are spoken in this province.

When I entered this pavilion, I was greeted by a magnificent and spacious space. There were even several statues, similar to welcome statues, lined up before entering the main house. Before discussing what I encountered here, I'd like to mention that this province is also home to a number of rare animals. This explains the richness of North Sulawesi's forests.

In the pavilion I visited, I saw two traditional houses from North Sulawesi: Walewangko and Balaang Mongondow. Both are deeply rooted in Indonesian history. The Walewangko house is a house of inheritance. This house, like the other houses, is built on stilts and naturally carries a rich philosophy and meaning.

One of these houses is a staircase, which is believed to ward off evil spirits. In fact, there's another unique aspect: the number of steps signifies the bride's wealth. This house is closely associated with the Minahasa tribe. It features red ornaments, a symbol of courage.

In terms of function, this house serves as the home of the traditional leader. In fact, it also serves as the residence of the Minahasa people. This house is divided into several sections: the living room, called Sekey, and the family room, called Pores.

The second house is the Bolaang Mongondow. This house is the traditional house of the Bolaang Mongondow tribe. It only has one room. There is an attic, which is used for seclusion by girls who are about to marry. That's all I can tell you, what do you think? Is this interesting?
