Hello, my dear friends!
On one of my nighttime tours, I visited the O'Leary Bridge, which was a fundamental part of commerce in Maracaibo in the past. It is said that this bridge was built with metal structures brought directly from France and that these were leftover pieces from the famous and well-known Eiffel Tower, so you could say that we have a little piece of it here in the city.
The bridge is located in the Santa Lucía neighborhood and was built a century ago by engineer León Höet. I visited at night, and it was lit up with the colors of our national flag. Some people were walking across it from Padilla Avenue to La Federación Street.
It is considered part of our cultural heritage and one of the oldest bridges in the city. I hope it can be preserved over the years thanks to the maintenance and care of citizens, private institutions, and government officials.

En uno de mis recorridos nocturnos, visité el Puente O'leary fue parte fundamental del comercio durante la Maracaibo de antaño, se dice que este puente fue construido con estructuras metálicas traídas directamente de Francia y que estás fueron piezas sobrantes de la famosa y muy reconocida Torre Eiffel, así que se puede decir que tenemos un pedacito de ella acá en la ciudad.
Dicho puente se encuentra ubicado en el sector Santa Lucía y fue construido hace un siglo por el ingeniero León Höet, en mi visita que hice hasta el lugar fue en horas de la noche y el mismo se encuentraba iluminado con los colores de nuestra bandera nacional, algunas personas realizaban caminata atravesando el mismo desde la Av. Padilla hasta la calle La Federación.
Se considera parte de nuestro patrimonio cultural y uno de los puentes más antiguos de la ciudad, espero que pueda mantenerse con el pasar de los años gracias al mantenimiento y cuidado de los ciudadanos, instituciones privadas o gobernantes.
