After exploring the [Salinas de Cumaraguas](https://hive.blog/hive-163772/@noalys/the-captivating-salinas-de-cumaraguas-or-la-cautivadora-salinas-de-cumaraguas), we continued our journey along the road leading to Coro, the capital of Falcón state. On the way, we bid farewell to the day and the powerful rays of the sun, welcoming the night and its bright waning moon, to finally reach the last stop on this tour: the majestic Medanos de Coro.   I first asked my mom to go with my eldest daughter Alys, my aunt, and my sister to enjoy the sand dunes, as that was one of the main reasons we took this trip. Then I went alone because Abby, my youngest daughter, had fallen asleep and they could take care of her. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to see them well because night was falling, but I was able to enjoy the experience, albeit for a shorter time.   When they returned, I was able to get off the bus, and I realized that we weren't the only ones at the Medanos de Coro. There were several buses waiting for tourists. I quickly climbed one of the dunes and felt the gentle breeze and saw the Sierra Falconiana with its mountains in the background. It may be a simple landscape, but it is so beautiful and full of magic. It reminds me that our country has a unique combination of natural beauty.     The sand accumulations are approximately 6 meters high and are constantly shifting. The dunes have sparse vegetation that is adapted to the climatic conditions of the area. It was declared Medanos de Coro National Park in 1974 and is a site of interest for those who set out to explore the beaches on the Paraguana Peninsula, and it is always good to return. Después de explorar las [Salinas de Cumaraguas](https://hive.blog/hive-163772/@noalys/the-captivating-salinas-de-cumaraguas-or-la-cautivadora-salinas-de-cumaraguas) seguimos nuestro viaje por la carretera que conduce a Coro la capital del estado Falcón, en el camino despedimos el día y los potentes rayos del sol, para darle llegada a la noche y su brillante luna en fase cuarto menguante, para finalmente encontrarnos con la última parada de este tour los majestuosos Médanos de Coro.
Le pedí primero a mi mamá que fuera con mi hija mayor Alys, mi tía y mi hermana a disfrutar de los médanos ya que era una de las principales razones por las que tomamos este viaje, para después ir yo sola porque Abby, mi hija menor, se había dormido y así ellas pudieran cuidarla, me preocupaba que yo no pudiera verlos bien porque ya estaba llegando la noche, pero pude vivir la experiencia aunque en un menor tiempo.
Cuando volvieron pude bajar del autobús, y pude darme cuenta que no eramos los únicos en los Médanos de Coro, habían distintos autobuses esperando por los turistas, subí rápidamente una de las dunas y pude sentir la suave brisa del viento y además de la Sierra Falconiana con sus montañas en el fondo, quizás sea un paisaje tan simple pero tan bello y lleno de magia, me recuerda que en nuestro país existen combinaciones de bellezas naturales únicas.
Las acumulaciones de arena tienen una altura de aproximadamente 6 metros, que siempre están en constante movimiento, las dunas tienen escasa vegetación que se adaptan a las condiciones climáticas de la zona, fue declarado Parque Nacional Médanos de Coro en el año 1974, es un sitio de interés para quienes se disponen a recorrer las playas que se encuentran en la Península de Paraguana y donde es siempre bueno regresar.
