Hello fellow travelers!  I continue to explore corners of the city where I was born, and it will never be enough for my adventurous spirit. That day, I went to visit Plaza Reina Guillermina, a public space full of trees and a pleasant place to enjoy the morning. Although it was very sunny and a little hot, I didn't stop exploring every corner of it, observing every little detail that is always important to me.  Plaza Reina Guillermina is located on Calle 78 Dr. Portillo in the city of Maracaibo. It is named in honor of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands and was officially opened in August 1953. It was built by the regional government, Rotary Club International, and authorities from the Netherlands.  The square has recently been remodeled with improvements to its spaces. It has walkways lined with trinity flowers that lead directly to the small statue of Wilhelmina, Queen of the Netherlands, on a concrete base. It also has white benches that appear to be supported by concrete wheels.      Other natural details, such as tall, striking palm trees that made me feel like I was at the beach without actually being there, and a dry tree trunk turned into art with shapes representing Queen Wilhelmina's crown, are a good way for a tree to continue to bring life to a place with a second chance.     This is a public space that forms part of the cultural and historical heritage of the city of Maracaibo, as well as being an excellent place to take a walk at any time of day and enjoy the shade of its trees. Sigo recorriendo rincones de la ciudad en donde nací y nunca será suficiente para mi espíritu aventurero, ese día fuí a visitar la Plaza Reina Guillermina, un espacio público, lleno de árboles y un espacio ameno para disfrutar de una mañana, aunque había mucho sol y un poco de calor no dejé de recorrer cada uno de sus espacios y así quedarme observando cada pequeño detalle que siempre son importantes para mi.
La Plaza Reina Guillermina se encuentra ubicada en la calle 78 Dr. Portillo en la ciudad de Maracaibo, lleva este nombre en honor a la Reina Guillermina de los Países Bajos y tuvo su apertura oficial en agosto de 1953, por cierto fue construidas por el gobierno regional, la empresa de Rotary Club Internacional, en compañía de autoridades de los Países Bajos.
Es una plaza que está recientemente remodelada con el mejoramiento de sus espacios, tiene unas caminerías repletas de flores trinitarias que llevan directamente hacia donde esta la pequeña estatua sobre una base de concreto de Guillermina Reina de los Países Bajos, además tiene bancas en color blanco que parecen estar sostenidas sobre ruedas de concreto.
Otros detalles naturales como altas y llamativas palmeras que me hacían sentir en la playa sin tener una cerca y un tronco de un árbol seco convertido en arte con formas que representan a la corona de la Reina Guillermina, es una buena manera de que un árbol pueda seguir darle vida a un lugar con una segunda oportunidad.
Este es un espacio público que forma parte del patrimonio cultural y histórico de la ciudad de Maracaibo, además excelente para realizar una caminata a cualquier hora del día y disfrutar de la sombra de sus árboles.
