Hello travelers! Continuing my journey from Maracaibo to [Boconó](https://hive.blog/hive-163772/@noalys/my-trip-from-maracaibo-to-bocono-or-mi-viaje-desde-maracaibo-hasta-bocono), I want to show you every place that filled my heart during this adventure, to be able to discover or revisit some places on this return to this beautiful town that I haven't visited since I was a teenager, about 17 years ago. That's why I made sure to enjoy every moment.  In the heart of Boconó, opposite Plaza Bolívar, stands the San Alejo Diocesan Shrine, a place of worship. I was lucky or blessed to find its doors open. Those who have read my posts before know that I hardly ever find religious temples open, but this time I feel that God gave me a helping hand, which truly filled me with joy.   This temple is built in a neo-Gothic style, with three doors on its external façade, each with initials on the frames that I don't really know the meaning of. Above the main door, nine crosses represent it. The highest dome houses the bell tower and two clocks that still work. There are also crosses and other religious symbols. I found it imposing, fascinating, and beautiful.     Inside, enormous chandeliers hang from the concrete ceiling, although another part of the ceiling is made of wood. Their enormous bases support the entire structure, and the stained glass windows with images of virgins and saints are so close to the ceiling that they can almost go unnoticed.         Images of saints and virgins are kept in niches, while others are found in paintings or sculptures. Several confessionals are available throughout the church for those who wish to confess.    .jpg)    Right in the center of the altar is a huge wooden cabinet that houses Saint José Gregorio Hernández, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the patron saint of Venezuela, the Virgin of Coromoto. Nearby is the baptismal font for those who are ready to receive the sacrament of baptism.    A small chapel inside the temple itself awaits the Blessed Sacrament, where some people were praying with hearts full of faith.  One of the things that caught my attention the most was the sculpture of the body of Jesus Christ inside a coffin, because it symbolizes his death, passion, and resurrection, and a miniature of the Shrine handmade by the parishioners, which shows the deep love they feel for their parish.   As a Catholic Christian, every church or temple I visit is a place that fills me with peace, where through prayer we get closer to God and our thoughts become clearer in those moments when we feel lost and full of doubts.   Finding their doors open was definitely a great blessing and a great coincidence. I left there very grateful to God for that. For now, I bid you farewell. ¡Hola viajeros!
Dándole continuidad a mi viaje desde Maracaibo hasta [Boconó](https://hive.blog/hive-163772/@noalys/my-trip-from-maracaibo-to-bocono-or-mi-viaje-desde-maracaibo-hasta-bocono) quiero mostrarles cada sitio que me lleno el corazón durante esta aventura, poder conocer o visitar nuevamente algunos lugares en éste regreso a este hermoso pueblo que no visito desde que era adolescente, hace unos 17 años aproximadamente, esa razón hizo que aprovechará cada instante.
Desde el corazón de Boconó y frente a su Plaza Bolívar se encuentra el Santuario Diocesano San Alejo, un lugar destinado para la fe, tuve la suerte o la bendición de encontrar sus puertas abiertas, los que me han leído en otras oportunidades saben que casi nunca encuentro los templos religiosos abiertos, pero esta vez siento que Dios me dió una manita, en verdad eso me lleno de mucha alegría.
Este templo posee un estilo neogótico, con tres puertas en su fachada externa, con iniciales en los marcos de cada uno que la verdad no se que significan, sobre la puerta principal 9 cruces le representan, la cúpula más alta guarda el campanario y dos relojes que aún funcionan, las cruces y otros símbolos religiosos también se encuentran, me pareció imponente, fascinante y hermosa.
En su interior enormes candelabros provienen de su techo de concreto, aunque otra parte del techo este compuesto de madera, su enormes bases sostienen toda la estructura, los vitrales con imágenes de vírgenes y santos se encuentran muy cerca del techo que casi pueden pasar desapercibidas.
Las imágenes de santos y vírgenes están guardadas en nichos y otras se encuentran en cuadros o en esculturas , varios confesionarios se encuentran dispuestos por la Iglesia para aquellos que requieran de una confesión.

Justo en el centro del altar se encuentra un enorme mueble de madera que alberga en su interior al Santo José Gregorio Hernández, al Corazón de Jesús y la Patrona de Venezuela que es la Virgen de Coromoto, muy cerca se encuentra la pila bautismal, para aquellos que se encuentran prontos a recibir el sacramento del bautismo.

Una capilla pequeña dentro del mismo templo, aguarda al Santísimo, algunas personas se encontraban realizando oración con los corazones llenos de fe.

Una de las cosas que más llamó mi atención fue la escultura del cuerpo de Jesucristo dentro de un ataúd, porque simboliza su muerte, pasión y resurrección y una miniatura del Santuario hecha a mano por los feligreses, que demuestra el profundo amor que sienten por su parroquia.

Como cristiana católica cada iglesia o templo que visitó es un lugar que me llena de paz, donde mediante la oración nos acercamos más a papá Dios y nuestros pensamientos se aclaran en esos momentos donde nos sentimos perdidos y llenos de dudas.
