I want to show you some of the most beautiful traditions of Zulia.** La cultura zuliana está enmarcada por muchas tradiciones y justamente todos los penúltimos sábados de octubre de todos los años se realiza la tradicional bajada de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Chiquinquirá, quién es la patrona de cada uno de los Zulianos ya que ella decidió este pueblo para quedarse siempre con nosotros es un gran acontecimiento en el que se realiza y todas las personas de distintas partes de la ciudad y Venezuela vienen a rendir un homenaje especial a cumplir sus promesas a encontrarse con la Virgen quien se vuelve a hacer mostrar una vez más con todas las personas, particularmente siempre he sido devota de la Virgen de Chiquinquirá, porque me ha cumplido todas sus promesas pero esta vez quise vivir la experiencia de estar presente en su bajada. >Zulia culture is framed by many traditions, and every year on the penultimate Saturday of October, the traditional descent of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá takes place. who is the patron saint of all Zulianos, as she chose this town to remain with us forever. It is a great event in which people from different parts of the city and Venezuela come to pay special homage, fulfill their promises, and meet the Virgin, who once again shows herself to all the people. I have always been particularly devoted to the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, because she has fulfilled all her promises to me, but this time I wanted to experience being present at her descent.  Como es de esperarse el último sábado del mes de octubre la Virgen María de Chiquinquirá, en esta advocación se encuentra cara a cara con todo su pueblo que la espera con gran entusiasmo y así también le da el inicio a la apertura de la feria en honor a su nombre, esta tradicional bajada se realiza desde el siglo XX la devoción y veneración a la virgen chinita está desde 1709 cuando ella decidió escoger este pueblo son grandes fiestas la que se realizan, en su honor miles y miles de personas asisten a su bajada para poder disfrutar de la santa misa el encuentro de la virgen con su pueblo las innumerables gaitas que cantan en su honor, que esta siempre están a cargo del grupo con mayor exposición que es los Chiquinquireños, todas las gaitas que se cantan este día gira en torno a ella y a la fe Mariana, que sentimos cada uno de los maravillosos sin duda alguna mi primera bajada de la chinita estuvo llena de grandes emociones. >As expected, on the last Saturday of October, the Virgin Mary of Chiquinquirá, in this invocation, comes face to face with all her people who await her with great enthusiasm, thus also marking the start of the fair in her honor. Este año la tradicional bajada de la Chinita giró en torno a los dos nuevos Santos que tenemos ante la iglesia católica el doctor San José Gregorio Hernández y la Santa madre Carmen Rendiles dos nuevos Santos que fueron justamente canonizados la semana pasada, sus fiestas patronales de este año estarán bajo el lema: "Con Chiquinquirá adoremos a Jesús fuente de toda santidad", en ambos laterales de la Basílica estaban los dos enormes tendones a cada lado de ambos Santos venezolanos del lado derecho se encontraba la madre Carmen rendiles y del lado izquierdo El doctor José Gregorio Hernández. >This year, the traditional descent of La Chinita revolved around the two new saints we have before the Catholic Church: Dr. San José Gregorio Hernández and Santa Madre Carmen Rendiles, two new saints who were canonized just last week. Their patron saint festivities this year will be under the motto: "With Chiquinquirá, let us worship Jesus, the source of all holiness." On both sides of the Basilica were two enormous banners on either side of the two Venezuelan saints. On the right was Mother Carmen Rendiles and on the left was Dr. José Gregorio Hernández. La bajada estaba programada a iniciar a las 5 de la tarde pero yo salí de mi casa una hora y media antes para poder encontrarme con un buen puesto, me fuí en carrito el tráfico estaba fluyendo bastante bien, pero al llegar me pude percatar que ya todo estaba prácticamente lleno, por lo que tuve que cambiarme de ubicación colocaron una enorme tarima, muchas sillas que cubrían todo el solar de la Basílica me ubiqué justamente por San Felipe. >The descent was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., but I left my house an hour and a half early so I could find a good spot. I took the tram, and traffic was flowing pretty well, but when I arrived, I realized that everything was practically full, so I had to change locations. They had set up a huge stage and many chairs that covered the entire grounds of the Basilica. I positioned myself right by San Felipe.   --- Primeramente a las 5 de la tarde iniciaron con el rezo del santo rosario, luego la sagrada misa esta se demoró aproximadamente una hora y 20 minutos, luego de esto se le da apertura al acto de ceremonia de la bajada de Nuestra Señora de Chiquinquirá, la cual va descendiendo desde su morada en la parte de arriba de la Basílica, hacia abajo en un tobogán esto es bastante lento hasta que ella pueda reencontrarse con su pueblo hace un rito de inicio de la bajada y luego comienza a bajar mientras recitan hermosas gaitas. >First, at 5 p.m., they began with the recitation of the Holy Rosary, followed by Holy Mass, which lasted approximately one hour and 20 minutes. There was a ritual to mark the beginning of the descent, and then she began to descend while beautiful bagpipes were played.     --- Había un total de tres pantallas distribuidas para poder observar la bajada y tener una mejor visión desde cerca, el descenso de la Virgen demoró prácticamente como una hora mientras cantaban diversas canciones para ella y todas las personas las coreaban, también las aplaudían, bailaban particularmente desde el punto en donde me encontraba había mucha más personas el camino estaba totalmente estrecho le pedí a la virgen que me diera mucha fortaleza para poderla ver de frente, sin duda alguna fue totalmente fascinante. >There were a total of three screens distributed so that people could watch the descent and get a better view from up close. Without a doubt, it was absolutely fascinating.      --- Hasta que la Virgen María se encontró con todo su pueblo mientras canta las gaitas se veía totalmente hermosa, la colocaron en su trono para poder pasearla por donde nos encontrábamos todas las personas, encima de los hombros de los servidores de María que son aquellos hombres que tienen la gran responsabilidad de llevar a la virgen, ellos son cientos los que tienen esta gran bendición, en la pantalla podíamos ver lo hermosa que se encontraba la virgen llena de rosas, mientras sonaba cada uno de los fuegos artificiales que estos duraron más de 20 minutos sin parar. >Until the Virgin Mary met her entire congregation while the bagpipes played, she looked absolutely beautiful. On the screen, we could see how beautiful the Virgin was, covered in roses, while the fireworks went off for more than 20 minutes without stopping.       --- Por último la Virgen de Chiquinquirá salió al encuentro para caminar con toda su feligresia, justamente se coloco enfrente de mí, estaba totalmente hermosa con todas esas cantidades de rosas rojas, en su trono con sus ángeles y su vibrante corona sin duda alguna fue un momento que voy a atesorar, este acontecimiento importante le da inicio a toda las fiestas patronales de este año, a medida que vayan transcurriéndose las iré mostrando por aquí porque son fuentes de toda cultura para nosotros, los ciudadanos espero mis viajeros de todo el mundo que esta publicación le haya gustado mucho y lo más importante hayan conocido un poco más de nuestra tradición. >Finally, the Virgin of Chiquinquirá came out to walk with all her parishioners.
