Hello blog friends, if you follow me, you'll know that I've been taking several trips in the surrounding area these days, especially to some places in my beloved Pistoia mountains. I love mountainous places, and when I can, I often take trips into the woods or to mountain villages; they're full of charming little villages. This weekend, in San Marcello, a delightful mountain town, there was a flea market. I love these markets, and whenever I see one, I try to go. Today, I'll take you with me to these magnificent stalls, and in the coming days, I'll tell you about San Marcello and the surrounding areas that my husband, my friends, and I visited this weekend, all dedicated to the Pistoia mountains. The market we visited is a traveling market that moves around the various villages in the mountains and valleys during the summer. It's not one of the largest markets, but I think it's one of the prettiest because it's not your typical market selling clothes and kitchen trinkets. In the second-hand and craft markets, you can find some real hidden gems. I love these types of markets, don't you?

Hola amigos del blog, si me seguís, sabréis que estos días he estado haciendo varios viajes por los alrededores, sobre todo a algunos lugares de mis queridas montañas de Pistoia. Me encantan los lugares de montaña y, cuando puedo, suelo ir al bosque o a pueblos de montaña; están llenos de pueblecitos con mucho encanto. Este fin de semana, en San Marcello, un encantador pueblo de montaña, había un mercadillo. Me encantan estos mercadillos y, siempre que veo uno, intento ir. Hoy os llevaré a estos magníficos puestos y, en los próximos días, os contaré sobre San Marcello y los alrededores que mi marido, mis amigos y yo visitamos este fin de semana, todos dedicados a las montañas de Pistoia. El mercadillo que visitamos es un mercado ambulante que recorre los distintos pueblos de las montañas y valles durante el verano. No es uno de los mercados más grandes, pero creo que es uno de los más bonitos porque no es el típico mercadillo de ropa y baratijas. En los mercados de segunda mano y artesanías se pueden encontrar auténticas joyas escondidas. Me encantan este tipo de mercados, ¿a ti no?

As soon as we arrived, we immediately explored the market. The first stalls were dedicated to some delightful paintings, many of which featured elves and gnomes—pretty paintings for a traditional home. Then there were stalls with various antique knick-knacks, old rosaries, wooden boxes, pottery, lamps, and other objects, as well as larger, more classical paintings, perfect for the living room. There were also several stalls selling costume jewelry at great prices, where I bought some necklaces and earrings. Other stalls were dedicated to beautiful wooden ornaments, including sculptures, pestles, bowls, and plates, mixed with all sorts of vintage items, including old cell phones, coffee grinders, guitars, and old CD and DVD players—commonplace in our day but now considered vintage. Then there were several stalls selling jewelry and handmade bags, all truly beautiful, and other stalls with old watches, books, records, and CDs. My husband, who has a record player, bought several vinyl records.

We then continued our stroll through the markets that lined the main street. We found old books, used watches, some brand-name ones, as well as glasses and accessories. There were also stalls selling cotton and linen linens, much appreciated by older women, and other stalls selling beautiful artisanal silver and gold jewelry. I saw some truly lovely items: lovely handmade bags, pens and wooden accessories made by a local artisan, and, to the delight of us readers, many inexpensive used books. I loved this market both for the uniqueness of the merchandise on display and for the pleasant mountain walk.

Luego continuamos nuestro paseo por los mercados que bordeaban la calle principal. Encontramos libros antiguos, relojes usados, algunos de marca, así como gafas y accesorios.
