Happy Wednesday, friends! Here I am again, participating in this initiative. Today I'm taking you with me through Via San Marco to my parents' art studio. Getting there is a very pleasant walk, passing through one of the city's main streets, not far from the ancient walls: Via San Marco. I don't often visit my parents, but when I do, I'm always enchanted by both the street where they live and their art studio! Porta San Marco is one of the oldest streets in Pistoia. One of the city's ancient gates—I think there were four—passed through here. It's a pleasant street to walk when there's not too much traffic, and it's also convenient because it connects to many areas of the city, beautiful to explore on foot, especially since the historic center is rightly closed to cars. After my stroll along the street and photographing some of the neighboring streets, I finally reached my parents' studio.
¡Feliz miércoles, amigos! Aquí estoy de nuevo, participando en esta iniciativa. Hoy os acompaño por la Vía San Marco hasta el estudio de arte de mis padres. Llegar allí es un paseo muy agradable, pasando por una de las calles principales de la ciudad, no muy lejos de las antiguas murallas: la Vía San Marco. No suelo visitar a mis padres, pero cuando lo hago, ¡siempre me encantan tanto la calle donde viven como su estudio! Porta San Marco es una de las calles más antiguas de Pistoia. Una de las puertas antiguas de la ciudad (creo que eran cuatro) pasaba por aquí. Es una calle agradable para pasear cuando no hay mucho tráfico, y también es práctica porque conecta con muchas zonas de la ciudad, preciosa para explorar a pie, sobre todo porque el centro histórico está, justamente, cerrado al tráfico. Después de pasear por la calle y fotografiar algunas de las calles vecinas, por fin llegué al estudio de mis padres.
My parents @silviabeneforti and @paolobeneforti's studio is also a lovely place to take a short walk and wander around. In addition to their work as artists, they offer courses in sculpture and painting of all kinds, and it's also a very special place, truly an artists' den. In every corner, besides the numerous books (books are a true family passion!), there are paintings or sculptures made by my parents—it's practically an art exhibition in their own home!
The studio also has days when it's open to everyone, allowing you to admire the works that haven't been exhibited and the artists' workplaces. If you walk around Via San Marco, you absolutely must visit my parents' art studio! That's my walk, see you for another walk next Wednesday!
El estudio de mis padres, @silviabeneforti y @paolobeneforti, también es un lugar encantador para dar un paseo y explorar. Además de su trabajo como artistas, ofrecen cursos de escultura y pintura de todo tipo, y es un lugar muy especial, un auténtico refugio para artistas. En cada rincón, además de los numerosos libros (¡los libros son una auténtica pasión familiar!), hay pinturas o esculturas de mis padres; ¡es prácticamente una exposición de arte en su propia casa! El estudio también tiene días abiertos al público, lo que permite admirar las obras que no se han expuesto y los lugares de trabajo de los artistas.
