This evening was the first time in about a month now that I've been relaxed and not had a solid ball of stress knotting up my stomach.
Sadly it came at the cost of cancelling all my weekend plans. But what it did mean was that I could actually take my time on some work and end the day having done it right for once. Also I had three pints, it might be the fact that I had three pints, maybe I should just drink away my stress more often. No it was definitely the work I've stress drunk before and it's never ended well.
Ok here's the plan for the weekend.
-
Head into the office tomorrow morning, finalise comments on a paper and send it off
-
Protest this whole Brexit fuck up thing, in what is likely to be the biggest protest our country has ever seen.
-
Pub
-
Research the science of estimating crowd size (yes there's a science of estimating crowd size), in order to reliably defend 2.
-
Plan lecture for Monday on something that is dull and I'm bored of talking about now (week 10 of 12, almost there now)
Not the relaxed weekend that I planned for but I'm sure it could be much worse (hence the protest).
