Hello everyone,
I recently returned from a trip to Chiangrai province in northern Thailand. It had been about 10 years since my last visit to this beautiful area. I didn't have any specific plans for the trip, but I wanted to visit somewhere new and stunning.
At the end of December through the beginning of January, Chiangrai province hosts a flower festival in various locations. In this post, I will be sharing about the Chiangrai Flower and Art Festival, which is held near the Kok River.
Before entering the festival, you will pass by more than 100 food, drink, and souvenir shops. These local vendors offer delicious street food and drinks to enjoy.
The festival is a short walk (5-10 minutes) from the parking area, or you can take a tricycle service for 30 baht one-way.
The theme of the event is based on a tale of beauty, with characters from the tale incorporated into colorful flower displays.
As you enter the festival grounds, you'll see a large statue of a beautiful girl, which serves as the symbol of the event. This statue is decorated with a variety of flowers. I particularly enjoyed the cute long-neck hill tribe statue.
Words cannot do justice to the beauty of this festival, but I hope the photos I've shared can give you a sense of it. I had a great time and I hope you enjoy reading about my experience.
