Absolutely. It has influenced my life in the terms of music.
At some point in 2017 just before I discovered K-pop, I was having one of the worst years of my life. I had no actual friends, was being bullied and I just felt so alone
Than somehow I stumbled across the song Wake Me Up by B.A.P, it totally changed my life. I was having such a rough time, and that song was proof of how someone can come back strong after suffering. It inspired me, I completely cut out everyone from my old school, switched to a new one and now I've got new friends.
The song gave me an escape from everything in my life and it really made me so much stronger.

And for quite a while, wake me up was the only kpop song I listened to.
Until about mid 2018, that's when I decided to get into b.a.p more, and from there I just became a big kpop fan.
Now I could probably go on for days about how I got such a big confidence boost and I've met friends through kpop, but like everything in life, there is a negative side.
The toxic fans honestly make me sick, Twitter is one of the most toxic and disgusting platforms, where people think it's hilarious to mock people dying with “maybe if he stanned___” . It gives us kpop fans such a bad image. Plus people who BULLY other fans for liking more than one group, and in what world do they live in where they think it's okay to send death threats to anyone who doesn't like a certain song?!? Ever heard of MUSIC PREFERENCE?!!
I could go on forever about them but they don't deserve attention so I'll end this here.
Kpop has definitely added so much light and happiness into my life, I'm forever grateful, however I do see the many flaws in the industry and the fans, and I really hope we can't improve them in the future..
K-pop has been one of the best things in my life. The songs are there for me no matter what mood I’m in. If I’m sad, I can listen to Bloom Bloom or TT. If I’m mad, I can listen to District 9 or PTT. If I’m happy, I can listen to whatever song I feel like. Watching the idols’ funny actions, no matter how staged they may be, never fails to make me laugh.
The cool and pretty costumes and the amazing vocals and the fast raps and the crazy choreography… I could go on for hours. The idea of a world more perfect than mine, without mean people and where everyone is beautiful and as close to perfect as is possible, the idea draws many people in. It’s beautiful. And nearly every fan or producer in the K-pop world knows this.
