I was discussing with a guy at the football field today and I was telling him about my life and what I have faced as an Nigerian Footballer who wants to succeed in life.
I have really tried , not many can stand what I faced back then even if I am still pushing for success,an the government keeps bringing new ways to kill many talents with their wicked policies and greed.
I remember leaving my final semester exam just to go for a trial in another state ,and arriving just when the trials was ending , I broke down in tears begging to be given a chance even if it was 3 minutes that it was enough for me , which they refused and at the end collect my contact to give me another chance when next their trials comes up next.
I also remember when others were doing their internship after some time in school I was busy playing for FC. Barcelona Academy with my dad strongly against me playing football at that point, it was tough knowing I was chasing a dream of me that was so close yet so far .
The most down I had was back then in 2021 I finally made a break through I got an invitation to Turkey for trials for a club in the division 2 league I was close to joining the team ,only for my right kneel to fail me having a serious dislocation that sidelined me for 2,months while the club was still hoping for my arrival. Finally I managed to get my self back up ,and I went to the embassy but with my papers been completely fine they denied me the visa, and rather have me 6 months ban for no reason , even when the club contacted them on my behalf, the embassy told them not to teach them their work , I was broken, I cried everything I could to cry because I know I have just lost a chance.
You know life is funny it tends to kill you while still telling you you that you would be alright. I was beginning to feel football was not for me , I had to try something while still hoping something good would work for me. I ventured into raw materials precious stones of all kind , I became the agent connecting the buyers and the sellers but all I got was the near success syndrome. To the point I lost a huge deal because the seller felt I was not with the buyers ,after paying her Transportation from another state to bring those Diamonds. I lost huge money that day I wept like a babe who lost his mother but unfortunately I actually lost her to a four years sickness, honestly I think the only up am having is that am still alive.
