With not much wind available yet a beautiful summer day, we decided to drive to Bridgewater for some needed items on the boat. We took our noontime meal there yet it was interrupted by a kitchen fire alarm. We then continued on with a thought to visit the LaHave Yacht Club. My Father had been a member when we lived in Bridgewater for two years in my 10th to 12th year.

The Yacht Club had grown considerably since a child, as had all of Bridgewater.
We returned on the ferry and followed the coast back to Lunenburg by evening. We baked a lovely chicken pie that we had bought frozen from The Bakery in LaHave. We had stayed overnight there when sailing to Shelburne earlier in the summer.
With bellies full and a little internetting later we were ready for the bunks.

The next day was better winds and we decided to strike off to Chester for the race week which was starting the next day. The winds were what may be called moderate yet it was nice to make it into Mahone Bay under sail.

We made Chester around supper time and anchored in the back harbour.
We went ashore and a little tour was give to Pierre which stopped at the Fo’c’sle Tavern which dates back to at least 1769. They had upped their game in the kitchen since my last visit some time ago. We had a haddock dish that was to die for!
Back on board with belly full and anchorage light on we hit our bunks.
