Regular readers may remember that after the Canada Day passage to Lockeport with Liv that there were a couple of days of eating and sleeping afterwards, once back at Shelburne.
A similar situation has seemed to have happened after the sail up the coast with the Kids. There are some other factors to take into consideration. Those kick ass Hash Brownies that my Son-In-Common-Law left behind and the phycology of the Kids leaving and how that may have had a depressing effect; though that is not my conscious feeling. If anything the phycology may be me trying to put off a total solo-sail. That is meaning with sails up; as far as motoring Makina and myself have a lot of Nautical Miles behind us.
Regardless of why the last few days have been with a lot of rest and relaxation.
Made it to shore a little later than normal for shower and some more laundry. Dropped into the cafe beside the post office for a coffee and ginger snap.
When heading back towards the docks my route took me by the old Bank of Montreal (1907).
It reminded me of a numismatic tour taken with my Mother a few decades ago. We went to out of the way banks around Nova Scotia to see if they had old bills to be had at face value. This Bank of Montreal was like striking gold.
The $100 bill from the 1970s featured the Lunenburg docks on its rear face. When the teller was asked if they happened to have any such bills on hand she replied that they thought they had seen a couple of them in the vault and agreed to go check.
She had been right; placed there no doubt by a numismatic bank manager. $200 for $200 seemed like a great deal! 🥳
Anyway, once the laundry was finished headed back to Makina for a late lunch and some online activity.
Have a cold water tap repair in the back of my mind. Maybe that can wait until after a little nap... 🫢
