Heard back from Stedman at South Shore Marine who said he had passed my job listing request to the yard foreman who would be looking it over shortly and getting back to me.
Did my gaming, snacking and napping this evening.
July 25, 2025
Went to shore for shower, laundry and breakfast.
While in town returned to the Sail maker's shop. He was not in yet had a good chat with a long time employee. She took all my particulars and we both agreed that measurements could be done on Makina when she is on the hard at South Shore Marine. Looks like new Genoa and Mainsail is in the offing.
Returned to Makina and to my surprise found the electric had drained again. Suspecting the invertor itself it was inspected and sure enough its positive wire looked in need of repair again so this is likely where the drains take place.
Disconnected it totally and hoped that the solar would bring back enough charge to start the engine. Realizing that it would likely take the afternoon it was decided to shut down all AC and go old school and dig out the book by @optnotten.
Finally finished it by late afternoon and it was a great read. It reminded me of the style of Kurt Vonnegut's humorous Sci-Fi like Cat's Cradle. Although humorous it hints to serious issues which face modern day mankind.

The solar came through and by supper time enough courage was found to try turning her over and it worked!
Got Netflix set up on my mobile and watched the latest John Wicks for my evening entertainment.
Mahone Bay seems to be beconning but will await word from South Shore Marine first.
