Hey everyone, it's a Saturday today and I haven't made a single Splinterlands post this week so it's about time to get started!
I'm making this post to take part in this weeks Splinterlands Social Media Challenge in which players can make a nice looking post to hopefully earn so nice up votes on Hive so they can grow their Hive as well as their Splinterlands accounts, when you're not doing this as a Splinterlands player, I recommend you to start this because with consistency, making two posts weekly, over time you can really build something here - learn as you go and have fun in the process.
This weeks topic is the same as last week:
๐ฅ Share Your Most Remarkable Splinterlands Moments: Do you possess a battle of epic proportions that deserves to be seen by all? Have you crafted something extraordinary within the Splinterlands realm? Maybe you've got profound thoughts, insights, or strategies related to stats, cards, abilities, or gameplay that are waiting to be shared? We want it all, and we want it to be nothing short of AMAZING!
To find out how you can participate in the challenge yourself, check out the official Splinterlands post here.

So much cool things going on
So, to share our most remarkable moments - that's plural so I don't have to choose! ๐
New reward set

So, first things first I will briefly discuss because this deserves it's own dedicated post and I bet this will be the topic of the second challenge for this week...
At October 21st the new Conclave Arcana reward set is scheduled to drop, bringing 43 new cards in to the game so this will surely change the meta in Modern, forcing players to put their brains at work again in their battles even more than they were doing, I love it!
The current Rebellion reward set has been going for... I think almost two years now? They will come to an end in the middle of next season so try to complete what you can with your glint when you're not complete yet, or save your hard earned glint for the new set, I'm doing the latter!

My guild mate hit the jackpot!
It's maybe a cool story to share here, because it shows the crypto space truly is a small world, about seven years ago, it was even before I was playing Splinterlands a new project launched, Pi Network - we needed to hit the mine button on an app on our phones to mine Pi Coins, which had no value at that point and without getting too deep in to this project, I stumbled on a post at Publish0x from a guy named TrocProcLock asking for people to join his group to mine together so we could all earn some extra...
SIX years later
I already forgot about this project when it hits the new again because the coin launched and had actual value, because I had some coins locked up I could only access when TrocProcLock became active again, I decided to search for his name on X formerly known as Twitter, I found him and sent him a message - after some back and forth talk I discover he is a Splinterlands player as well, fighting in some low level guild, he recently came back after a two year break, we stayed in touch and because his guild wasn't really active we decided to join our accounts with some friends together in our own guild which was quite dead at that point as well...
This took some work, some alt accounts and some time but damn we have made BIG improvements together, so a shout out to all guild members, thanks for being there!

So, on his latest Whale for a day post, he put some funds in to his Splinterlands account, and bought 1 copy of Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut, and then this happened...

That's a GOLD FOIL LEGENDARY!
It's awesome and pretty rare when this happens so I was really excited for him, and he made the same decision I would have done: SELL IT! To later buy back the Regular Foil version at 1 C.C. to be able to buy a lot more cards with the profit that remained.
and then he made an awesome gesture:

But since my account is bigger than his own, I told him to buy SPS with 'my' $10, and kinda sneak my way out of this by just not replying on this topic anymore ๐
BUT @cherokee4life was smarter than that, and knew what I was doing ๐คฃ and told me I'd better think of what I want or he would send me $10 worth of pickles which made me laugh real hard ๐...

(I'm now realizing this is going to be a long post LOL)
So, I choose Aerial Shieldmaiden at Silver level, it has a really nice synergy with my Elias team with extra protect, it was on my wish list for a while but it's kinda expensive, but it's SO strong I'm having a lot of fun with it!

So, thanks again Cherokee, I love it!! As a thank you, I've set him as a partial beneficiary for my earnings to this post so hopefully he doesn't read this really long post in it's entirety... ๐

More cool things, YUP!
I was already grinding my ranked battles for over an hour this morning, and after I had a losing streak yesterday it was now time to climb back up around the 2400 rating ranged where I'm usually at, and I was on a nice roll when my Modern League bully came online with their five or six accounts... and I actually kicked their asses TWO times in a row, hah! take that!

Mind you, these are max level decks I'm fighting with my Silver level deck, so I decided to not push my luck and since my energy was already drained to 18, it's low enough so it was a perfect time to hide in the shadows for my bully and start making this post ๐

Already at 1000+ words and I have yet to get started with my main topic ๐
Beating a Max Tofu with a level 1 team!
So, the craziest thing that happened this week was this battle I'm going to share, I could see my opponent was really liking to play his max level Tofu, it's still really strong in the current modern meta even at level 1 it beats me often, so I knew my chances of winning against this player were slim, so then I decided to do something crazy...
When I'm not playing my Modern battles, I also like to play the free Frontier Mode, I'm at Silver 2 there but I haven't pulled a lot of Archons yet so my Archon levels are still at Novice level BUT the water splinter has a really nice Archon which increases magic damage, which makes me think of a really strong Archon, back then we used to call them Summoners, Alric Stormbringer

The Frontier card however is double the mana but has the same buff, +1 magic damage to my team.
This battle was a 32 mana Reversed Speed battle with the Death splinter locked out, with Earth as well as Life available I was certain my opponent would bring Tofu to the battlefield, so let's do something crazy, playing a level 1 Archon, which has the drawback of leveling down all of my Silver level cards to level 1....

Thank you for reading!!!
