Hey everyone, it's that time again to make another Splinterlands post to participate in this weeks Social Media Challenge, I've not been posting last week due to a lack of time, primarily because I worked almost the entire weekend (it was for a good purpose for my other hobby - cycling) and because cycling is getting more serious, I'm able to cover more distance so that takes a lot of time, well... it's a good change of course but sometimes I wish there were more hours in the days! ๐
This weeks Social Media Challenge is the same as last weeks:
๐ฅ Share Your Most Remarkable Splinterlands Moments: Do you possess a battle of epic proportions that deserves to be seen by all? We want it all, and we want it to be nothing short of AMAZING!
So, this weeks, let's talk about the Little League ruleset, in which only monsters with 4 mana or less are allowed to be used, including archons!
Lately, I decided to upgrade my Little League army significantly so have more chance in beating my opponents, in most battles I was relying on the Life splinter to bring me victories but when life is not open to be chosen from, that's a problem!
Of course, the main tank everyone plays is Halfling Refugee, I own more copies that I need since I play in Silver League, so it's at max level for Silver, where it has the Healing ability. The extra copies are always nice to use in Survival Mode!
A while ago, I was lucky enough to pull a Gold Foil Legendary card, Gallicus. It's pretty useless at level 1, with Taunt only it's dead in seconds but when it receives the Shield ability at level 2, it's VERY useful, and it has a really nice synergy with another life card...
The card Gallicus has a nice synergy with is Caravan Guard, I owned it at level 3 with Triage only, but lately I upgraded it to max for Silver level so it receives the Headwinds ability, really nice for Little League AND Ranged Only battles! Because I liked this card so much, I bought the Gold Foil version.
Reinforcements needed!
So, I really felt my Little League battles could be improved, so I decided to just spend the money I had left in my account and buy two quite expensive cards...
Taye Loreswift (I like the name! ๐) brings Inspire to the entire team, which is a really nice upgrade and since it's Neutral, just like Halfling Refugee I can use her a lot.
One of my favorite cards in Modern is Arachne Weaver, the Corrupted Healing is so powerful, your entire team gets healed back to full health -1 max health every single turn, and not long ago I found out one of the legendary Conclave Arcana cards I pulled in one of my Pre-Sale packs also received Corrupted Healing at level 2!
I 'only' needed two more copies, and when I bought it, Cryptomancer was the only seller, with the entire page of Inept Healers listed at the same price, he must have opened a lot of legendary packs!
Mage Wagons
One extra benefit this upgrade had, was these two new cards are now at the top of my Mage Wagons, boosting my points quite nicely! So, whenever you buy a new Modern card, be sure to hit that 'auto-fill' button again!
Sharing some action!
So, of course I saved a Little League battle to show, but since Life and Fire can't be combined, Inept Healer isn't present in it - plus, Fire wasn't available ๐
This battle is from a couple of days ago, it's a 28 mana Born Again / Equalizer / Little League battle in the Modern League with the Fire and Water splinters locked out, with Little League I have a couple of go-to teams and with Life open and Fire not available, the choice was easy!
