Today is a very special and meaningful day for all Indians as we celebrate two grand occasions together โ Indiaโs Independence Day (15th August) and the divine festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
On this day in 1947, India broke the chains of British rule after years of struggle and sacrifice. We bow down to the brave freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, and many others, who gave up their lives so we could live in a free nation. At the same time, we also celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna, who incarnated to uphold truth, righteousness, and love. His teachings from the Bhagavad Gita continue to inspire millions even today.
Janmashtami is celebrated with great devotion โ devotees fast, sing bhajans, visit temples, and participate in joyful processions. At midnight, the moment of Krishnaโs birth is welcomed with cheers of "Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki!"
This day is not just about celebration but also self-reflection โ to remember the sacrifices of our ancestors and the divine message of Shri Krishna. As Krishna stood against injustice, and our freedom fighters fought for the nation, we too must stand for truth, unity, and our responsibilities as citizens. Letโs celebrate today with full heart โ with devotion in our souls and pride in our hearts. ๐ Jai Shri Krishna! ๐ฎ๐ณ Vande Mataram! ๐ Wishing you all a very Happy Janmashtami & Independence Day!
