We dream for several reasons, although the concept of dreaming is somewhat mysterious. Different people give different meanings to it based on their own experiences, viewpoints, or religious beliefs. It is important to know that dreams happen and they have meanings. Some people believe in dreams and use them as a guide. Dreaming is one mystery that people do not fully understand, but it continues to occur, especially when we sleep at night.
This is the same discussion I had with my friend this morning. I asked her why we dream, and from her perspective, she mentioned that the spiritual controls the physical, and most of the time, dreams serve as a means of communication between man and God. According to her, dreams speak about two things, the future and what is happening or about to happen around us.
Speaking about the future, many of us can attest to the fact that some dreams come to pass just the way we see them. Sometimes, people see things when they are slightly unconscious, which implies that God may use dreams to reveal things to us. To some extent, this is more spiritual.
On the other hand, scientists believe that dreaming is not just a random experience but an important part of how our brain works. There are times we think about something or someone, and while sleeping, we see that thing or person in our dream. This means dreams help us process our thoughts, feelings, and experiences. According to science, dreams play a vital role in keeping our minds healthy and active even while we sleep.
There are also people who believe that dreams have no particular purpose and that they are just the brain’s way of making sense of random electrical signals that occur while we sleep. However, whichever way you see it or from whatever perspective you understand and define dreams, it all depends on you. It is important to study yourself and know what works for you and how it works for you.
