Social media is a funny place, it makes me laugh when I see a young guy thinking about how to afford mama-put yet comes online to talk down on someone whose one month alert can feed his two generations. I saw a comment last night and decided to check the commenter’s profile, the laughter almost finished me 🤣🤣.
But my point remains, our young men should learn to respect the elderly, what I am saying has nothing to do with politics, but the problem is that we like politicizing everything in this part of the world. I read so many comments yesterday and I could only laugh, and I felt most of them were fueled by politics.
It is funny seeing young men insult and talk down on grown people they aspire to be like, and I ask myself, how do you want to be rich while envying the rich? It does not work that way, because you attract what you appreciate.
The truth is that political, religious and tribal sentiments have done us more harm than good in this part of the world. We need to learn to sanitize our minds and respect who and what needs to be respected, because even the Bible says, children obey your parents in the Lord, that your days may be long on earth.
