I know that a lot of you guys are curious why do I keep making kawaii items. I grew up in a culture where cuteness- on things does not necessarily get too attached or associated with kids. We love cute items because they remind us of our childhood, helps us cope up with our lives. I know a lot of people like me who loves to collect cute items, plush toys and cartoon/ anime/ manga character related items and, that's fine. I enjoy browsing through their collection- to be honest.
For today's post- hopefully, I post it a few minutes from now( I had been having internet connection dramas AGAIN). I am creating a banana split ice cream. The original idea is for me to just create servings of icecream in a bowl. Unfortunately, I thought it would be nicer to have something like this- ice creams served in banana peel bowls. I dunno how I am coming up with these ideas sometimes.
I started with a flattened piece of clay.
Slice.
Slice it some more.
Then pinch the edges to create something that looks like this. I don't know what that pointy part is called.
I started with a round piece of clay.
Use your dotting tools to create the texture before making the details of the face.
Here we are- the basic kawaii bear face.
And here is the cute, kawaii face that I was hoping and rooting upon.
And here is where it went wrong:
When I was making the frosting, I accidentally swirled it around the mouth. At this point, I did not even dare to remove it because, its going to be a messy day.
Add some sprinklers. Yeah, if you guys noticed that was the first piece I made before really documenting it. I just want to know that my idea works before I invest a lot of time making this.
Here is another piece I made.
A close up of the first piece..... I fell in love with it instantly.
