The people in the place I grew up in have a popular saying - the friends you keep are the ones that will make you prosper in life, get riches and reach greater heights in life. They are also the ones that will bring about your downfall, help you reach rock bottom faster than the eye can see, and also, make you as miserable as you can ever be.
Friends are a very important part of growth and development. They play key role in influencing an individual either positively or negatively. However, it is left for an individual to be wise enough to filter words said and actions performed by their friends so that they will not be negatively influenced by them.
Having friends is a good thing, but not everyone have the ability to easily make friends. Some are introverts and keep to themselves, while others can easily socialize and make good and real friends. Nonetheless, the most important thing is to make a friend that knows the value of friendship and will influence you in a negative manner.
This post is an entry for Korean Hive Village weekly prompt, Friendship without borders. In this post, I wrote my perspective on friendship, I will further write the conversation I will be having if I ever get myself a Korean friend.
One thing about me is that I don't easily call people my friend. I prefer have an acquaintance. However, I think it will be great if I manage to have a Korean friend.
I don't really know much about Koreans, so, the first thing I would like to talk about is about ourselves. I would like to understand how Koreans do their things. I would like to know their religion and how they worship, what food they eat, their political and economic system, their culture and traditions, and also, how they live in general. I would also share these details with my friend too.

I would not want to be friends who don't share the same perspective as me. Being a money minded person, I would make sure that they are also money minded and not someone that will want to talk about women and gossips when we are supposed to be thinking of how to legally make the next million. Another thing I would love to talk about is the opportunities there is in Korea. How do the people survive? What do they do to make money? Are there any business opportunities there? My questions will go far an wide, and I would love to understand everything about Korea so as to make sure I don't make big mistakes. I would also tell him the same thing about me.
I would make sure that we go in search of money together because I would never want to be friends with somebody that depends on other people for food or basic necessities of life, not even his parents. If push comes to shove, I would force him to work or I leave the friendship. lol.
Thank you for reading.
