Often time when someone talk about ghosting another person, some people may think that they had a fight or the quarreled which resulted in the ghosting, but sometimes, it can also be as a result of incompatibility between the two parties. Sometimes, it may be because one of them has leveled up in life as compared to the other person.
When it comes to socializing and communicating, there are a few types of people. I think, two . There are those that are very fluent in communicating. They can maintain a friendship for months and keep it going. There are also other people that shy away from socializing. Some don't socialize not because they are shy, but because they have limited time and a lot of tasks to accomplish. Some also don't socialize because they are shy.
This post is an entry for hive learners prompt, GHOSTING. In this post, i will talk about my views on socializing. I will also talk about ghosting people and my views of it. Lastly, i would talk about a time when i ghosted somebody and why i did so.
One thing about me is that I always feel overwhelmed when i'm chatting with people. I hate having too many chats to respond to, so, i hardly chat at all. Chatting/talking/socializing is such a drag for me. I'm not totally an introvert though, but its really hard for me to socialize, except when i'm in the hospital.
Each and every time, i do look for reasons to keep quite and be alone. I think i have enjoyed the sweetness and peace of being all by myself to the extent that i don't appreciate external company.
I don't really think ghosting people is a bad thing to do. You may decide to just be on your own for a long time and cut ties with some people who don't chase the same thing you chase.
I ghost a lot. Not for any reason. Not because i have a problem with anyone, but because I just love being in my own company. I remember when i began to ghost someone because they talked too much. I love keeping conversations brief and straight to the point, but this lady likes to talk about everything there is to talk about.

To me, talking is such a drag. I prefer to connect with someone with silence than to connect with words. Any time this lady is around me, she loves talking a lot. She talks about the high, and the low. She even try to gossip about people with me, which is something i hate doing. When she starts talking too much, i do try to give her indirect signs to keep quite but I think she don't seem to understand the signs.
No matter how hard i try, she always talks around me. Yes, it will be nice to accommodate it, but then, I always feel overwhelmed when someone talks a lot around me. Its better to keep it short, simple and straight to the point.
When i realized that she was not going to reduce how she talks around me, I ghosted her for a few months. I only gave her the leverage of exchanging pleasantries, and after that, I walk off like someone that is in a hurry to catch the bus.
She called me one day and complained about the fact that i was ghosting her. I saw the pain in her words, so, I reduced the level of ghosting. I didn't want to tell her that she talked a lot. I think that would sound even more insulting. She still talk a lot around me, but this time, she tends to understand when i'm no longer interested in the conversations.
