It's been a while since my last post but today I going to share how we celebrate Mother's day ☺️.
Forget the pressure of perfect presents and overflowing bouquets. This Mother's Day Instead of just getting fancy stuff let's do something real and meaningful for Mother's Day spend a nice day together as a family in the quiet and beautiful Mangrove Forest at the Fish Port in Naga,Cebu.

For us,the grand gestures and the pricey dinners have never been our norm. Maybe it is the practicalities of a tight budget but honestly our most cherished memories are woven from simpler threads. And last Mother's Day we discovered the perfect place to celebrate another one this unexpected haven where the land meets the sea.

This place used to be just a simple port for fishermen in Naga City.But now, it is become a special and peaceful spot where families can enjoy nature and spend time together without spending a lot of money.It is still a port showing how the locals live but it is also a nice getaway.

The beauty of the Mangrove Forest it is accessible to everyone. There is no entrance fee,no corkage charges just the gentle lapping of water and the rustling of leaves. For a mere 150 pesos you can rent a table for a basecamp for your family's adventure or renting a charming floating house for a truly immersive experience.

When we got to the Fish Port,the air smelled like the sea and the kids were so excited to get to the middle of the mangrove trees we could take a quick boat ride.It only cost 10 pesos and the kids were thrilled to hop on. Some of us who could swim just jumped into the refreshing water letting it carry us to the green trees.

Keeping kids safe is super important here.The water is usually calm and gets shallow when the sun goes down.So,while the little ones have a blast splashing or building sandcastles and finding cool sea creatures like starfish and tiny crabs grown-ups need to keep a close eye on them to make sure everyone stays safe and happy.

Last Mother's Day at the Mangrove Forest was full of happy families celebrating their moms. The clear water showed everyone's smiling faces proving that being together in a pretty place is all you really need.

We found out that you can't hang big hammocks on the mangrove trees because it might break them. But the nice people watching over the place said it was okay for kids to gently swing in a hammock. It just shows we need to take care of this special natural spot while we enjoy it.And everyone helps by cleaning up after themselves so the Mangrove Forest stays beautiful for everyone.

So, this Mother's Day let's keep it real and focus on what matters spending time together as a family. Instead of buying lots of stuff let's enjoy nature's beauty at the Mangrove Forest. It is a simple place but just like a mother's love it is strong and makes us feel good inside.Let's make memories there instead of just buying things.
