Hello, my fashion lovers, how are you all doing today? I hope you had a great day. I'm excited to share this lovely craft I made for my sister and I.
Whlie packing for our relocation, I stumbled upon one of my mom's old knitted crochet pieces. I asked if she still needed it, and she said I could have it.
Meanwhile, my sister's item was a kimono gown, which I unfortunately didn't take pictures of. However, I'll share how I turned the kimono gown into two-piece outfit. Let's get creative.
MATERIAL USED:
* Scissors
* Tape
* Knitted crochet material
* Black and Brown thread
* Machine needle
HOW I MADE A MAXI GOWN AND TURNED MY SISTER KIMONO GOWN INTO 2 PIECE OUTFIT
* Step 1

I spread the material on the floor and took my body measurements. Since it's a maxi gown, I cut it together.
* Step 2

I used my jeans skirt as a guide, tracing the flare shape onto the material with chalk and adding a 3- inch allowance
* Step 3

I went ahead and stitched both sides up with my machine.
* Step 4

After completing the main piece, I moved on to sew the sleeves. I laid the fabric on the floor, folded it into an A-line, and measured my armhole. To achieve a subtle flare, I used my round sleeve measurements with a slight addition for flare.
* Step 5

After cutting the sleeves, I placed the bodice on the floor to measure my armhole 9, in order to attach the sleeve to the bodice. After measuring the armhole, I went to my machine to stitch it up.
**LET'S MOVE OVER TO MY SISTER'S KIMONO**
* Step 6

This material on the floor was a kimono gown and since she wanted a two-piece outfit, I measured hip, waist and full length.
* Step 7

After taking her measurement, I placed the material on the floor, marked the pattern for cutting and pinned the skirt pieces together. Then, I moved to my machine to stitch it up.
* Step 8

After shaping it, I folded the waist side and sewed it, then inserted elastic into the folded part since my sister preferred no zipper, so elastic was used instead.
**AND GUYS THIS IS MY FINAL RESULT**

Simple yet classic is a great way to describe the maxi gown and two-piece outfit(Maxi skirt with jacket). You can pair them with canvas shoes, loafers or fancy flats slippers.
THANKS FOR READING. HAVE A LOVELY NIGHT. 😘😊
