## Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. Every country has something that they are known for, and once you mention the name of your country, you have people reacting in a way, and the mistake many people make is generalising whatever your country is known for; people always assume that everyone is involved in whatever your country is known or famous for, whether good or bad. Some people go as far as judging you even before they meet you just because of the country you are from, and they don't even think twice before they do so. One can be from a country known to be for something bad but still stand out and be completely different.

Moving around the world, we have different countries, and every country is famous for one thing or another, but you get to meet people from that country and realise that they don't even like what their country is known for, nor are they even proud of it or a part of it. Individuals might be from the same country, but they have different interests and things they like or are involved in, but they still cannot escape the negative effect of what their country is known for.
My country, Nigeria, is known for a lot of things. We are well known for entertainment and somehow called the home of Afrobeat. We have artists from Nigeria touring the world, making the country proud and taking Afrobeat places. We are also known to be creative; moving around the country and even the world, you would see the beautiful things we are creating both offline and online. We are also known for our food and culture and our hospitality. Nigerians are also known to be hard-working and resilient; the nature of our country's economy leaves each and every one of us no other choice than to work really hard.
The one good thing we are known for that I will be focusing on for this prompt is our food. We have over 300 ethnic groups in Nigeria, and every ethnic group has their own special delicacy or meal which they are known for, making Nigeria a home of many foods and different delicacies. A long-lasting competition has been going on to determine if Nigerian jollof is better than Ghanaian jollof, but we are still to completely agree on which jollof is better than the other. We are known for so much food and different delicacies that people from around the globe visit the country just to have a taste, and after a taste, they will always want more.
One Bad Thing We Are Known For.

Every country has its good and bad sides; the one bad thing Nigeria is known for is corruption. The country is led by corrupt leaders who are only after their own interest, causing the masses to suffer so much and be forced to work double shifts just to be able to meet up and be able to afford basic needs. Corruption is deep-rooted in the country, and sometimes it feels like it is impossible to have a new Nigeria or have a country free from corruption. It feels like corruption is something we will have to deal with until the end of the world because even the young ones who are the hope of the country are already moving in that direction.
