## Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. Whenever people hear the saying "health is wealth," they conclude or think physical health is the only thing that is being talked about there; we often forget to check and ensure that our mental health is in good condition or not. Some people visit the hospital monthly but end up only checking or working on their physical health and completely ignoring their mental health and forgetting that all the stress of thinking about work and getting work done does not only affect the physical health but also the mental health.

Trust me when I say mental health would definitely be envious of physical health because nothing is getting more ignored than our mental health; we put our mental health through so much stress, and then we end up giving it little or no attention at all. Some people know their mental health is in very bad shape but would only visit the hospital when their physical health deteriorates; some only give their physical health attention and check it regularly, completely ignoring their mental health.
A lot of us are guilty of completely ignoring our mental health and giving all the attention in the world to our physical health. We have made observing our physical health a habit to the point we notice the slightest imbalance in our system. We immediately notice when things are wrong as far as our mental health is concerned, but when our mental health is in complete chaos, we don't even notice; we just keep forcing it to serve us how we want it to or expect it to.
We need to learn to give both physical health and mental health exactly the same attention without giving too much attention to one and completely ignoring the other.
How to check and follow through to make sure one does not suffer or get ignored.

Self-evaluation: you know yourself better than anyone. Before anyone knows something is wrong with you, you must have felt it within you that something is wrong and needs to be checked, but most of the time we end up being ignorant and waiting until they are almost out of hand or become critical before we want to take the necessary steps.
Many people are depressed but come out smiling and laughing the hardest to cover that up, but deep down they know that everything is not right up there. Some people only visit the hospital when they have a backache but never remember to check their mental health, but with a good and sincere self-evaluation, you can point out if your mental and physical health is in order, and if not, you can take the steps necessary to ensure health is restored to its normal state.
A sincere self-evaluation where you do not lie to yourself is how you can follow through and ensure that neither your mental health nor physical health is being ignored or suffering, as only you know exactly how you feel, and with a sincere evaluation you can point out what you need or which part of your health (mental or physical) needs attention. When your mental and physical health are in order, that is when you are considered to be a healthy person; when you have one without the other, you are not healthy.
