## Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. One thing about help is that it can come in unexpected ways. Sometimes we think and hope that those we know are the ones meant to help us, but we tend to forget that we cannot always be around those we know. When they are not nearby to come through for us, what happens? Do we seek help from strangers or allow ourselves to become stranded all because those we know and expect to get help from are not in close proximity?

We cannot do life alone; at some point in our lives we would require the assistance of others to help us get things done. No matter how small you might feel that assistance is, the truth remains that if that assistance was not offered, whatever was achieved wouldn't have been achieved, which makes it important that every assistance, no matter how small, is appreciated. Some people categorize assistance out of pride just so they don't appreciate the person offering the assistance, but the truth is that every assistance counts, and without it, then the goal or aim would not have been achieved, which now makes the assistance that might be considered small because of pride part of the story.
As we move from one place to another, we get to cross paths with a lot of people, many we do not know. Like I said earlier, help can come in unexpected ways; sometimes we only expect help from people we know, but in our life journey, we have been helped even by strangers, people who we do not know, and after the help they offered us, we never even got to see them again, but how they came through for us and what they did is still very fresh in our heads.
In 2023, I got assistance from a stranger, and to date I am still grateful to the stranger for how he came through for me. It was during the election break; my parents said they did not want me to be far and that I should come back home, and it was during that period that the cashless policy thing happened in my country. There was no cash anywhere, no ATM was dispensing cash, and our only option back then was to use money and buy money from POS terminals.
The money I budgeted for transport was tampered with because I needed some money to buy cash with, and then we always had network problems. Before you can successfully make transfers, you need to keep praying and hoping it goes through and you are not debited, whereas the recipient did not receive the money on their end. I did transfer to 2 different POS terminals, and I was debited, but they did not receive the money on their end, and since I was travelling, they refused to give me the cash I needed with the question, "What if the money bounces back to my account and I am long gone?" It will be their loss."

I pleaded, but they stood their ground, and then the driver refused to take a transfer as he needed cash too. At that point I was frustrated and didn't know what to do. I had the driver threatening to drop my bag if I didn't pay him the balance. At that point I did not know what to do and told him to drop the bag, but a mean-looking man sitting in front of the car told him not to and brought out cash, gave it to the driver, and declined that I pay him back. I still remember how he came through for me, and I really appreciate it to date.
The stranger that came through.
