There are many courses we offer in school that are obsolete.

Truth has to be told, though it will hurt some people, especially those studying these courses: there are many courses that are still being studied in Nigerian universities that should be considered obsolete and avoided. Our world has evolved into a technological one; therefore, many courses that have little or no technology attached to them can actually be considered obsolete, and no one should have anything to do with them, as they will suffer the effect after graduation either by finding it difficult to secure a job or by not seeing a firm that is offering graduates of that course any job.  [Source](https://unsplash.com/photos/men-and-women-wearing-black-and-white-graduation-dress-and-mortar-cap-inside-building-RIcMwDLk1wo) The truth is that many courses are obsolete but are still being offered in the university even if they are known to be outdated and not supposed to still be in the curriculum, but they still allow students to study such courses knowing fully well that in the long run they will end up regretting ever accepting the admission. So many courses that are offered in Nigerian universities have very little tendency to do the students good or offer them good opportunities in the future. Our world is moving with the speed of light towards becoming one where everything is automated and operated automatically or with the help of technology, and this has caused courses or jobs that cannot be automated to be considered obsolete and a thing of the old, as every modern course or job is now automated or now has technology to reduce the workload. With the continuous evolvement of technology, it is only a matter of time before a lot of humans will be kicked out of business. Courses like library and information science are some of those courses that are now considered obsolete; the evolution of technology has reduced how much need people have for our traditional or offline library. These days we even have our E-library, and it has given us the opportunity to carry our library in our pockets (smartphones), laptops, and iPads and go anywhere with it as well as access it from everywhere. Book-keeping: Despite the evolution of technology, the book-keeping studied in schools still has a curriculum where records are taken and kept using books or paperbacks, whereas technology has made software for taking and keeping records available.
