This social media platform has to go.

## Hello, everyone. I welcome you to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. Our world indeed evolved, and we owe it all to technology. The days when we completely depended on letters that took months to be delivered and even more months to get a response from the recipient are gone, technology changed all of that. Today we can pass a message across in a few minutes if not seconds, and social media made all of that possible. Today's news, both the good and the bad, and the real and fake spread like wildfire, and it is because of social media. Once a news item is seen or posted by one, it is seen by millions of others, and if reposted, it seems to be seen by even more people, and from there, the news, whether fake or real, spreads like wildfire. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmRJKMHaaRhZeuSs2eWtUGwTbbC9vAaZfcM9D6kaUztDQX/1761563817375.jpg) [Source](https://unsplash.com/photos/a-group-of-different-social-media-logos-HBkpnDVc_Ic) Recently there was an incident on X where 2 ladies started a propaganda campaign accusing an Uber driver of being an accomplice to robberies and saying that booking him for a ride will end up with you getting robbed, and that went wild, even way more than they expected it to, as the news did not end on X; users moved it from X to WhatsApp, and from WhatsApp it was even on Facebook and on TikTok, and the company he was working for fired him without carrying out due diligence. It was later discovered that it was not true and the Uber driver is not who or what he was painted as by these girls, but it was already too late. Social media is a double edged sword; it can do you real good, and it can do real bad and really dirty, but we all pray and hope the edge that does real good is what hits us, but it is not always like that. The impact of social media on our lives cannot be denied; it keeps us entertained, it is a source of livelihood for many, and it has connected the entire world. In those days, you needed to travel out of your country to know people or anyone from another country, but today, thanks to social media, you can be in your country and know people from other countries. It has strengthened communication and made it easier to send and receive information. Social media has made quite a great impact on our lives that we cannot deny; it has made advertisements easy and been able to reach a big audience without stressing so much. Today everyone who is into business uses social media to publicize their business; everyone takes advantage of these social media platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, where you can reach a large number of people, and a large number of people can also see your post and ads, unlike WhatsApp, where only your contacts can see what you post.
If I have the power, which social media platform will I ban and why?
