## Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Growing up as kids, we were in a hurry to grow up because we thought life and adulthood was one big bed of roses, one where you got everything you wanted without even moving a muscle because that is exactly how it was for us as kids. We expected the same thing to happen when we became adults, but we grew up and turned into adults, and things are completely different from what we pictured. We pictured adulthood to be one fun journey, but things turned out different, and instead of a fun journey, we have ups and downs, challenges, and difficulties to deal with every single day.

As children we had our parents shield us; they were there to protect us and provide for us and made sure we lacked nothing even when they lacked everything they needed personally, so we thought adulthood and life itself was a smooth sail, but now we have grown up to see what life really is: there are storms and not a smooth sail like we thought. Adults, especially parents, try as much as possible to make sure they don't break in front of their kids or people looking up to them, and that gave those looking up to them (kids) the impression that life is good.
I really wanted to grow up so I could have the freedom I felt like my parents took away, so I could move around as much as I wanted and hang out with friends for as long as I wanted, but guess what? Today I have all the freedom, but I don't even want to do any of these things; I want to be left alone all the time as I think about something I can do to better my life or stay busy doing one thing or the other to help me improve my skill. Life lessons are one of those things better learned with experience because when you are told, you might not even believe what you are told.

We were a lot happier as kids; we had little or nothing to worry about and only had a problem when we felt hungry and the food was not ready yet or when we misplaced a sock. Aside from that, life was completely good and fun; all we did was eat, play around, and hang out with friends while our parents did the thinking about our safety and how to provide for us. Today things have changed, as we now do the thinking ourselves, and that took all our happiness away, leaving little or nothing at all.
We were happier as kids.
