For this week, I chose "SMA (Send Me Away)" by Nasty C and Rowlene and i featured the amazing @officialdenkay again, my brother😊 a song that hit me on a different level. This one isn’t just lyrics and melody… it’s real emotion, real pain, real conflict between love and heartbreak.
What really stood out to me was the female's part where @officialdenkay did I truly felt. That raw vulnerability, the heartbreak of being pushed away, but still wanting to stay. The confusion, the pleading, the love that hurts but won’t fully let go.
“Send me away… I feel you.” That line echoed in me. It’s like she’s saying, “If it hurts you to love me, then maybe I shouldn’t be here but I still care.” That emotion guided my performance this week.
Every note, every breath, I wanted to channel that silent cry for peace in the middle of chaos. That balance between strength and softness.
This was nothing personal for me. But still I felt it, hope you feel what I felt.
