Days ago, I got a call to participate in an advocacy to GENDER BASED VIOLENCE and I was asked to talk about this with my creativity. I thought about the theme and I tried to think and consider the basic factor to which is common to all these forms of GBV, then I realised the suffering of SILENCE. This factor has actually ended so many lives at the same time put them to a test of fate to life because of fear, threats and some other factors that might cause it.
I coined out this masterpiece with acrylic on canvas with the use of just 2 colours.
Red: which signifies danger and the urgency to attention or action Black: which signifies the gravity of pain that is being faced and tolerated to a state of total silence.
Everyone as a whole suffers GBV in silence before taking up the courage to speak out for help.
Here’s an illustration to a factor of GBV in our society today.
