A Suttle Lake Walk

It was a blustery day but clear none the less. Time to get out for a little walk and explore and area I haven't been to much. The wind was whipping on this late spring day at Suttle Lake but there were still some charming views to be had. Join me for a little stroll around the lake.

From the docks you can see a couple geese taking refuge from the wind in the small cove.

slw-20.JPGFurther out on the dock there is a view of the choppy water out in the middle of the lake.

slw-21.JPGLooking back you see the boathouse. Inside is a small diner and a place to rent canoes to paddle around and enjoy the lake.

slw-3.JPGA view from the main beach near the lodge and some shots below of the incoming baby swells.

slw-6.JPGLeaving the beach we begin the walk around the north side of the lake.

slw-7.JPGThe first view of a distance Mt Washington on the far right obscured by some clouds.

slw-11.JPGLooking back toward the lodge the tip of Black Butte is visible.

The photo on the right is a 2 shot vertical panorama that I stitched together in Lightroom. It looks like another old fallen tree is keeping this cedar out of the lake... at least for now. 🙂

slw-15.JPGAt some point in time though I'm sure the cedar tree will end up floating artwork like these old trees.

slw-14.JPGA little better shot of Mt Washington hiding in the coluds.

slw-17.JPGAnd another frame up of the mountain.

slw-18.JPGThe green of a giant tree above me and some of the colors near the lodge below.
