How to wage war in a social setting

Buenos dias, you beautiful buzzing bees!

Has anyone else ever wondered why they called this place Hive, but use aquatic descriptors for account growth? You would expect in a Hive that new accounts might be eggs, or pupae, then can then develop into workers, drones, or queens. Instead we have minnows, dolphins, and whales.

I'm not saying that those are bad choices, just incongruous. They would work better in a place called Pod, School, or even Sea.

Just a little more friendly advice nobody will see from your friendly neighborhood know-it-all.

Now that I have that non-sequitur out of the way, let's get to the meat and potatoes of this post:

What can you do to help the war effort?

As enlistees in the Civil Action Comedy Army, or CACA, I know that you all have a willingness to fight for our beloved COMmunity. But how do we fight without physicality?

We fight with words. Are them's fightin' words? I sure hope so.

Let's face it, this place isn't Twitter, or X, or Facebook, or any other place with a large mob of idiots who will gather to watch and cheer if we just fire off a few shots in the air and pose patriotically with our rifles. People here, for better or worse, are too smart for that. Or, maybe they aren't that smart, but they're too focused on #crypto (or downvotes) to pay attention to anything else.

How do you grab eyeballs, and laughs, in such a serious environment?

That's where things are going to get tough.

Hey, hey, wait, where are you going? Come on back, you must have misheard me... I didn't say tough, I said, uhhh.... rewarding.

That's where things are going to get rewarding.

Meet the enemy on their own ground.

If we want to defeat banality, we will have to find it where it lives. That means reading some boring posts. I know, I know, it's boring, but that's where being a soldier in this army develops meaning. I want you to read those boring posts, then hop in the comments and say something funny about it. Raise them if you can, roast them if you must, but there is a joke everywhere, if you look hard enough. Leave a funny comment with the #comedyopenmic tag, and I will find it and upvote it. That's where the rewards come in.

Of course, it won't be much of a reward, with my meager HP, but it will be more than nothing.

Which brings us to part two of how YOU can help...

Beat them at the ballot box.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

It means VOTE, soldier! @mitch18, @diikaan, and @paulfromkigali have all dropped posts in the COMmunity recently, so drop by and drop them a little vote of encouragement!

Click on this #comedyopenmic tag right now, and vote whatever pops up in the results.

Remember, a vote for good content on Hive is worth 3 votes for your favorite candidate in your elections.

Voting for your favorite funny folks on Hive will make you stronger, smarter, more attractive, and irresistible to the opposite sex.

Post, people! Engage! Stop by the COMmunity and say "HI!", or at least drop an insult to our TDVTV spammer. That guy(?) really gets under my skin. He obviously has a sense of humor, somewhere, he just chooses not to use it here.

Get out there and be funny, soldiers! Let's punish these unfunny jerks until they wet themselves with laughter!

This bullfrog photo always grabs some attention. We need to cling to and support each other more, like these frogs here. Not in a gay way, of course, @diikaan.

Now, let's go out there and get 'em, soldiers! Vote this post then go frog some shit up!
