Pero; a raíz del éxito obtenido por el libro antes mencionado y por la experiencia adquirida a través de sus investigaciones; decidió adentranse en el ámbito de los diamantes, ya que este representa un mundo muy difícil controlado por una red de mineros tanto legales, como ilegales; cortadores, comerciantes, contrabandistas y muchos inversores; en cierto punto, existen diamantes de sangre. Digo esto; porque a medida que leemos, nos damos cuenta que estamos inmersos en una travesía donde podremos conocer la historia, economía y cultura que está alrededor de estas piedras preciosas. Sinceramente; es un relato que vas más allá de lo brillante que pueden ser los diamantes; y aunque tenemos idea de lo valioso de estos objetos; este viaje hará que cambies tu percepción sobre ellos.
