My current username is something that I had to ponder on a bit before I used it. I came across this particular prompt through @seki1 and it's something I have been considering whether or not to talk about.

My username is a bit difficult to pronounce, it was definitely one of the cons I thought through when deciding whether to use it. Omokhafue is my middle name, and I always hid it in secondary school downwards cause of how weird it looked and sounded. The "k" in it is silent and no matter how many times I used to tell my classmates then, most, especially the boys would always pronounce it weirdly and as much as that pissed me off cause it was intentional, it also made me insecure. And I know some might say that isn't a good enough reason to be, but it did. So I practically buried everything about it. But then, sometime in 2022 when I was looking for a name to change my Instagram account to, I decided to use this. It's not as common as my first name "Sonia" was starting to be. I remember a time when I thought and knew I was the only Sonia but now, I know more than eight Sonias and that didn't resonate well with me at all. So I searched for a new identity and I wasn't able to come up with something peak and cool but then came back to this name, Omokhafue and at that moment, it was something peak and cool. Omokhafue means something like wealthy child, a child with good fortune, something like that. It isn't an English name or anything. I'm a tad bit shy to write my full name so I think I'll tack that away. And that is genuinely how it all came to be. Now all my socials bear that name, most of my profiles on random sites have that name. And although it still proves difficult for some people to pronounce on some occasions, I don't really mind anymore and would gently guide them on how it's pronounced. Because yeah, it's a weirdly spelled name😂. Anyways, this is my story. I'd please like @oluchi31 @jhymi @tegoshei @seki1 (I am tagging you again, I am aware😂), and @ejiro06. Thanks for reading;)
