Good morning to all my friends. I hope you're all well, or rather, super well. I'm happy to be back after a short vacation. It's been over eight days since I brought you my last story, so for today I've chosen a more special card, an epic one. It's card E244 Beverly. As you'll see in the story, she's a pianist. I won't give you any spoilers, so don't worry. So I invite you to enjoy the story and leave me your thoughts at the end. I hope you like it, and let's get going.

Buenos días para todos mis amigos, espero que estén bien, o mejor súper bien. Estoy feliz de estar de vuelta después de unas pequeñas vacaciones que me tomé. Ya hace más de 8 días que les traje mi última historia, así que para hoy elegí una carta más especial, elegí una épica. Es la carta E244 Beverly. Como verán en la historia ella es una pianista. You see, friends, Beverly lives on the smallest island of Buskeria. She plays the piano for a living. She has a serious problem. She suffers from stage fright, but at a level far greater than that experienced by many others. For example, when too many people start looking at her while she plays, she starts to tremble and can no longer play the piano keys properly. She also starts to sweat profusely and can't meet anyone's gaze. Because of this problem, she is always very serious and withdrawn; she doesn't enjoy what she does. The stage fright she suffers from stems from bullying she suffered in her youth. This made her become very insecure and distrustful, and it shows in her playing.

Because of her stage fright, she has turned down offers to play pianist in bands, avoided going to festivals, and made a fool of herself when hired to perform at a concert. In other words, she has avoided doing anything that would expose her publicly. Obviously, her actions have greatly affected her performance as a pianist, and she has few opportunities. She has continued to be a pianist thanks to the help of her aunt. She owns a small café and offered her a position to play the piano there and entertain the diners. Beverly has managed to play there because the place is small and not many people come in at once. So she's managed to control her fear.

Debido al miedo escénico a rechazado ofertas de pianista en bandas, ha evitado ir a festivales, ha quedado mal cuando se la ha contratado para ser pianista en un concierto. Es decir a evitado hacer cualquier cosa que la exponga públicamente. Obviamente sus acciones han afectado mucho su desempeño como pianista y tiene pocas oportunidades. No ha dejado de ser pianista gracias a la ayuda de su tía. Ella tiene un pequeña cafetería y le ofreció un puesto para que toque el piano en el local y anime a los comensales. Beverly ha logrado tocar ahí porque el lugar es pequeño y no viene mucha gente al mismo tiempo. Así que logra controlar su miedo.

Her aunt has tried hard to get her to change and come out of the cave, as she calls it. She's looked for opportunities for her to play in cafes with more customers, but she refused. She doesn't want anything that requires her to expose herself too much. Seeing that she doesn't change her mind, she's left her alone, but she's always on the lookout for anything she can do to help Beverly finally take off. What motivates her is that she knows Beverly has a lot of talent and is wasting it wholesale. So it hurts her to see her like this. She also knows that her niece's insecurity prevents her from seeing her own talent or what she can achieve.

Meanwhile, time passes and she continues playing the piano in the cafe. It was a normal day like any other. Her aunt arrived early to open the shop, and Beverly arrived later to clean the piano and start playing as the few customers arrived each day. Some arrived, then left. And then some more, and so on. But one of the customers hadn't left since she arrived that morning. All she saw was her playing and playing. She hadn't noticed because she always played without looking at the customers, as this made her very nervous.

Su tía se ha esforzado mucho por hacerle cambiar y que salga de la cueva como ella dice. Le ha buscado oportunidades para que toque en cafeterías con más clientes, pero ella se negó. Every time she finished a song, the man made a few notes in his book. At first, Beverly thought it was someone who had taken a romantic interest in her. But when she saw him jotting things down, she realized it was more than that. Suddenly, the man took out his phone and started filming. When she realized it, she immediately began to tremble; she didn't want any copies of her playing badly. To concentrate, she stopped looking at him and continued playing until she finished. But she immediately went to talk to her aunt so she could ask the man what he wanted and why he was recording her.

Her aunt refused to ask her that because it wasn't forbidden to record in the club; in fact, everyone was taking photos and videos, and it was normal. She just didn't realize it because she wasn't looking at the audience. While she was still talking, the man approached them and told her he really liked her playing. He told her he needed a pianist for an upcoming concert on the smallest island in Buskeria. Big-name singers would be coming, and it would be a good way to make a name for themselves. Before leaving, he left him his card and told him the deadline to decide.

Cada vez que ella terminaba una canción el hombre anotaba algunas cosas en su libro. Al principio Beverly pensó que era alguien que se había interesado por ella románticamente. Pero al ver que anotaba cosas en su libro vio que era algo más. De pronto el hombre sacó su teléfono y empezó a filmar. Cuando ella se dio cuenta enseguida empezó a temblar, no quería que quedaran copias de ella tocando mal. Para concentrarse dejó de mirarlo y siguió tocando hasta que terminó. Pero de inmediato fue a hablar con su tía para que ella le preguntara al hombre que quería y por que la estaba grabando.

La tía se negó a preguntarle eso porque no estaba prohibido grabar en el local, de hecho todos se tiraban fotos y videos y era normal. Solo que ella no se había dado cuenta por no mirar al público. Mientras aún hablaba el hombre se les acercó y le dijo que le gustó mucho como tocó. Le dijo que el necesitaba a una pianista para un concierto que próximamente se haría en la isla más pequeña de buskeria, vendrían cantantes importantes y sería una buena forma de darse a conocer. Antes de irse le dejó su tarjeta y le dijo el tiempo límite para decidirse.

Her aunt told her this was the opportunity she so desperately needed to finally get out of the hole. She shouldn't waste it as she had done so many times before. Beverly, after much insistence, accepted the demands and said yes, that she would try this time. Right then and there, her aunt gave her the card the man had given her, and they called to confirm that she would be attending as the pianist. Still, she was incredibly nervous. Her aunt told her she couldn't continue like this; it was time to break free from that battered struggle and pursue her future that had held her back.

Those words made her realize she needed to change and not continue in that situation. On the day of the concert, she arrived very nervous, as is natural, but her aunt's words gave her a little strength. As always, she didn't look at the audience much, but she gave her all. The result was that the man was enchanted by her and promised that this would be the beginning of a beautiful career, but only if she wanted it. Seeing so many people applauding filled her with joy, so she accepted. Her nerve is still there, but now she will no longer hide from people, she will face her fears and she promised herself that she would be a successful pianist.

Su tía le dijo que esa era la oportunidad que ella tanto necesitaba para por fin salir de la cueva. Que no desperdiciara la oportunidad como muchas veces lo había hecho. Beverly a mucha insistencia aceptó los reclamos y dijo que si, que esta vez si lo iba intentar. Ahí mismo su tia le dio la tarjeta que le había dado el hombre y llamaron para confirmar que si asistirá como la pianista. Aún así ella estaba súper nerviosa. Su tia le dijo que no podía seguir así, era el momento de salir de aquel maltrecho luchar y buscara su futuro que tanto había detenido.

Esas palabras le hicieron reconocer que debía cambiar y que no debía seguir en esa situación. El día del concierto ella llegó muy nerviosa como es natural pero las palabras de su tia le dieron un poquito de fuerza. Como siempre no miró mucho al publico pero dio lo mejor de si. El resultado fue que el hombre quedó encantado con ella y le prometió que este sería el comienzo de una linda carrera, pero solo si ella quería. Al ver a tantas personas aplaudiendo eso la llenó de alegría así que aceptó. Su nervio siegue ahí, pero ahora ya no se esconderá más de la gente, enfrentará sus miedos y se prometió a si misma que sería una pianista de éxito.
